Favre's Dirty Block?dmek25 09-01-2009, 05:14 PM yes, i watched the video RobH4413 09-01-2009, 05:16 PM Cheap shot. Favre knows what a legal block is. He has played football for a long time. I don't know who to fault more, the coach who probably told him to go low... or Favre who actually did it. I'm beginning to dislike Favre for a variety of reasons. This isn't helping his case. SmootSmack 09-01-2009, 05:24 PM I don't think it was intentionally dirty. I think it was just awkward on Favre's part and he didn't really know what to do, and he sort of fell toward Wilson and then tried to slow down or back up. I don't know why Childress is even lining him up at wide receiver in a preseason game. I understand they want to get Harvin involved in some wildcat formations. But I thought the whole reason you got Favre (old, injured Favre) because you wanted a legit QB who could lead your team and not have to resort to offensive gimmicks. Pull up a chair and join the club!...no don't...no do...no don't...no do. NYCskinfan82 09-01-2009, 05:32 PM Listen to what the commentors said. Why call a play and have your injure prone old Quarterback throw a block in preseason. Which is why I have suspicions that he was told to go low. Slingin Sammy 33 09-01-2009, 06:32 PM for Christ sakes. we are talking about football, right? i would only hope J.C. would at least try to block someone. is this what football has come too? debating whether or not a block is dirty? There's a reason there's a rule that the crackback block must be above the waist, it's for player safety. The player being blocked is completely defenseless and to smack him high is one thing, going low has a high probability of injury. I only wish Favre would've blown out his shoulder on the play, would've served him right for such a blockheaded play. charlied72 09-01-2009, 08:51 PM Wow, i love this, a 40 year old quarter back throwing a block gota love Favre. wolfeskins 09-01-2009, 09:14 PM There's a reason there's a rule that the crackback block must be above the waist, it's for player safety.
