IMO the only guys worth keeping are Cooley, Haynesworth, Orakpo and maybe Fletcher. Everyone else can go as soon as the team can get rid of them.

Dyna, I agree with you in regards to Moss and Portis but my concern is that Portis with his closeness with DS. I wonder how much pull Portis has when he goes to DS with a complaint and why DS allows it. I don't care who we bring in as HC I would be scared that if Portis is not happy Portis will go to DS and complain and DS will find a way to make things right. Instead of telling him to listen to his HC.

My issue with Moss is he is, I feel he is on the decline. The last few yrs he has some sort of injury keeping him out of games, He has shown signs of giving up on his routes when he thinks the play should be over in his head. If I kept him it would be as a #2 or #3 WR to create a miss match against second and third tier CB's plus not over using him every game.

Agreed. Did you read that article in the news feed about Portis and Sellers getting into about Portis feeling that Sellers isn't blocking well enough for him?

When it rains in DC, it pours, eh?

i need we need to clear our cap in 2010. With the new cba that will be in place after 2010 it will be harder to have big numbers on the contract. Being an uncapped year, it will be best to do it this year. I am not stupid and know next to none of this will actually happen, but if we we can for cap reasons trade haynesworth (and maybe hall, but I think he might be too important to get rid of) and get rid of portis I think it will be extremely beneficial. I think we need to scrap our team and start anew. I think we need to draft a qb next year and get rid of campbell. I think our team is a joke as it is, and we need to start over which we won't be able to do unless we free up some cap space. This is because we don't have enough young talent to build purely through the draft, so we will need to pick up some key (young) free agents to help us along.

And Portis isn't running well this season. Kinda a case of the pot calling the kettle black, IMO. (And yes, the line has something to do with that)

Report said that Portis wanted Sellers pulled during the Bucs game, which I think is kinda shitty.

Exactly. Moss is unquestionably the most talented receiver we have. That said, he's also increasingly inconsistent. You look at teams like the Giants who have thrown their young WRs into the fire and it's paid off in terms of development. The young guys can't get better if they don't play, and if Campbell's reads on every play are 1)Moss, 2)Cooley and 3) check it down to Portis, Kelly, Thomas and Davis are never going to be more than what they are right now.

Thomas and Kelly have fallen victum to the same fate as Desmond Howard. He came here when we had Clark, Monk and Sanders, wrong place, wrong time. They come here with Moss Cooley & Randle El, thus their growth has been stunted.

Players that have worn out their usefullness:
Daniels, Wynn, Smoot, Cartwright, Betts & Rabach. There may be more by season's end.
