Someone will want to coach in DC. But, it would not surprise me if a few guys (even lower profile ones) turned us down. It's pretty sad that Spags turned us down and ended up accepting a job with the Rams.

Exactly, someone is going to look at this team and see all the talent and think they can turn us around. Will that be a Shannahan or a Holgrem or so on only time will tell. Sheriff Gonna Getcha 10-11-2009, 05:08 PM i think we are looking at jason garrett or another qb coach Jason Garrett was a hot commodity last year, but his stock has fallen dramatically. As for hiring a QB coach, how likely do you think that is now that Zorn has failed so miserably? BaltimoreSkins 10-11-2009, 05:16 PM Well, to contradict my post, Jay Glazer, on the Fox pregame show, said he predicted Sherm Lewis could be hired last week and it happened. He also reported that, despite Snyder's denial, Snyder personally flew to Denver to see Shanahan after the loss to Detroit and Glazer is confident Shanahan will be named interim HC sometime during the season. However, due to the Rooney rule, he can't be named permanent HC until a minority candidate is interviewed Right after the Glazer piece JJ mentioned that whoever takes over will have to make decisions by letting Dan Snyder think they are his idea. I laughed very hard even though it came from a former Cokeboys coach SouperMeister 10-11-2009, 05:20 PM I'll take any coach who would draft offensive lineman in the first three rounds.BINGO!!! We have a winner!!! It doesn't matter who coaches as long as the FO continues to neglect the O-line. Zorn is not the problem. Campbell is not the problem. Give us a deep, competent O-line, and you can win with the current players and this coaching staff. WaldSkins 10-11-2009, 05:24 PM BINGO!!! We have a winner!!! You know when we are running the ball to the right side that something is utterly wrong with our O-line. Skinny Tee 10-11-2009, 05:25 PM BINGO!!! We have a winner!!! If we get a new coach, that coach better bring in his own staff and players. Enough of the roster tweaking sentiment...this team needs C4 if there is a new coach. We are the only team in the ENTIRE league that hasn't spent a 1st or 2nd round pick on the O-line since taking Samuels in 2000. NFC East football is won in the trenches. Compare our commitment to that of our division rivals on upgrading interior line depth through the draft. 'Nuff said. |
