ss, do you think vinny would be fired in this scenario ? i would personall like to see charley casserly brought back as gm, but i know that's just a pipe dream.

Vinny probably won't get fired. He'll either be moved out of football operations altogether or more likely just be kind of a lackey or front office coordinator. Yeah that's probably a good way of putting it. Front Office Coordinator. Sort of like Sherman Smith. He'll compile all the information, run the weekly meetings, but when it's game time his advice will be taken but he won't make the final decision. Basically he'll do what he did under Gibbs and what Scott Campbell is doing now.

Someone will want to coach in DC. But, it would not surprise me if a few guys (even lower profile ones) turned us down. It's pretty sad that Spags turned us down and ended up accepting a job with the Rams.

yeah, and so far he's done an awesome job...

Unless we want a repeat of what the boys have done, we should hire an ASS KICKIN' GM......now and CHARGE him to handle the rest...all of it. That's what they do!

I'll take moving Vinny out of football operations. Of course, we also have to consider everyone else who aids in scouting for talent and making decisions on draft picks, free agent picks, etc.

Shanahan isn't the answer. That incredibe run in 96-98 was with Elway & TD. His last three years were 24-24.

That would be great. I'm a big fan of Russ Grimm. I'd love for him to take the reins.

And he could coach the Oline.

Shanahan hasn't done jack without Elway and people forget the awful defenses he had and drafting guys like that loser RB from Ohio State. Is he not responsible for those things? Remember the defensive players he got from Cleveland? Yeah, that worked out real well. :frusty:

Hhhmmm....so a question from far left field. Let's say that Jeff Fisher is let go after this season (and could be a strong possibility) would you want him coaching the Redskins? He has had some bad seasons, but he has taken the Titans to the Super Bowl before and has several appearances in the playoffs.
