Based on the reports of Snyder's continued "tantrums", he's not improving in becoming a leader of men. Great marketer, poor leader.
I can't blame Snyder for not wanting to board the plane with Zorn or the team. It was an embarrassing loss after leading by 15 in the second half.
I don't consider this a tantrum...it seems more like a move of self-control. It would have been an ugly scene.
I really hate to say it, but I'm to the point where I think Zorn should be removed immediately. His playcalling never improves, he's not learning from mistakes and he's just in over his head. Personally, I love the guy. He's a great person. However, he just isn't ready for a role of leadership without experience. (seems popular for D.C. right now though)
We should install a new coach this week and not wait for Zorn's playcalls to fail against the Eagles before the bye week. Let the new coach rally the guys and maybe we can show up against Philly.
It's painful to admit it won't work. I had all of the optimism for Zorn that he's get it. Apparently, that 6-2 start last season was leftover from Coach Gibbs.

I think he's given up on trying with Ron Wolf. I think he talks with Bruce Allen (and maybe Casserly as well) pretty regularly but I guess I thought you were talking about current employees of other teams.
I think Scott Campbell is gone after this season. I at one point thought he might get bumped up but now not so sureI don't know the rules on talking with GMs of other teams, but if there's no rules on it then he needs to open the checkbook and go after Tannenbaum from the Jets, A.J. Smith from San Diego, or Dimitroff from ATL.

should have drafted Michael Oher. but we probably would have moved him to fullback. lol
Orakpo was the right pick. He's to good to pass up and he's already on track to compete for DROY. However we dug our grave before that, by not using a second round pick on an O-lineman in 2008 and drafting a CB in the third round in 2009. Plus getting only one free agent O-lineman that made the team didn't help either. We would be in much better shape if we had just brought in Ray Willis. I'm assuming we're going to have a top 10 pick next year so I'm thinking that the first pick will probably be a QB, either Colt or Bradford. After that though we should use our next two picks on OL. Preferably a Tackle in the second round and a quality center in the third.

Changing the coach really can't make that much a difference. It's not like it will give Campbell more time to throw or our WR more open.
Firing Zorn would just be a heat of passion move more than anything.
Well look what it did for the 49er's as they started turning things around at the end of last year.

Another logical miss was when Samuels went down, rather than play someone at LT who has never played it at the NFL level, why not slide Heyer to LT, Williams to RT and Will Montgomery to RG? Did Montgomery go from competing for a starting job when Thomas went down to 4th on the depth chart in 2 weeks?
That's what I was wondering in the gameday thread

Oh right, got ya. That plane ride would have been ugly if he was on the plane. He probably would have just started pushing people off without a parachute :)
He'd probably offer them money to start winning.

Either Coach would be good if you ask me. Zorn is lost. I like the idea of Danny Smith. After watching him try to school Zorn on the side-line he appears to know a lot more about play calling. I don't know much about Gray, but from what I see he appears to be no nonsense too. Either way Zorn is done.

Could be as early as next Monday if the Skins decide to give another winless team their first victory of the season, but I would imagine that Zorn's done by the final whistle of the Eagles game. I'd imagine Sherman Smith would be out as well, with Sherm Lewis taking over as offensive coordinator. Gray or Smith can lead the sinking ship into the depths of the NFC East basement.
The only way the Redskins will ever completely start over is if Snyder decides to put his massively large ego aside and hire a football man to be his GM and let said GM call the shots. Until that day happens (I've yet to hear about hell freezing over or see pigs flying), it really won't matter who Snyder pays to be head coach, they will be limited by what the Front Office wants to do.

So when you say a "football man" what exactly do you mean?
