Originally I was thinking about this list being done after the season is over, but now I think this plan should go into effect as soon as possible.

Step One: Fire Vinny and Zorn ASAP.
Step Two: Hire GM, see Chris Polian, Eric DeCosta, Rick Spielman, Mike Holmgren....
Step Three: Let new GM hire Head Coach. Preferably Offensive minded and someone with outstanding motivational skills, and who is not afraid of getting after poor performers or prima donnas.
Step Four: GM and Head Coach shall hire Offensive Co-ordinator, that will call plays. Now is the time to decide if the WCO is what should be ran or if more of a Coryell style is what is needed.
Step Five: Remove Cancer from the roster.
Step Six: Rebuild Offensive line with the best free agents under 27 years old and prepare to draft rookie QB for grooming.
Step Seven: Draft for need and be willing to trade down to grab players at their best value.
Step Eight: The most important step, Dan Snyder just sign the checks.

I think the most important thing is to possible bring in outsiders, not yes men. Some third party to assess how he has done his job. Positives and negatives. I think danny needs to get his head outta his ass, and stop thinking what he is doing is right or wrong. He needs to know he doesnt have a full grasp in ownership right now; as any good businessman he needs to learn from mistakes, get some suggestions, change and move on.

The thought of being Dan Snyder is far too icky for me to contemplate, so I'll just ignore that part and give him some advice.

Dan, do you remember that Seinfeld episode when George Costanza realized that every decision he made turned out wrong and that, from then on, he would do the opposite of what his instincts told him to do? And do you remember that when he started going counter to his instincts, things began to work out for him? Do that.

Step 1: Begin my new search for my GM today. Top of the list are Holmgren, Dungy, B. Allen.

Steps 2-3: Fire Cerrato and Zorn at the end of the season.

Step 4: Allow my new GM to hire a WCO Coach who won't be in over his head and re-evaluate the entire roster

Step 5: Sign the necessary checks, and grit my teeth through the rebuilding process

Additional Steps: Tom Cruise is no longer allowed near my sideline or luxury box

Get an established GM or talk to knowledgeable people around the league about the rising stars in the league who they would recommend and immediately give him complete control. Let him make the decisions from day 1 to fire, cut, trade or whatever he wants to do. Sit back, shut up, and enjoy owning the Redskins knowing that I just made the best decision for this franchise to become great again.

This can be turned around quickly considering we only have to work on one side of the ball. It is just very important that we bring in the right GM and Head Coach, see New Orleans 06, and Ravens, Falcons and Dolphins last year.

"If I were Dan Snyder and I really loved the Redskins I would sell the team immediately and try to buy a rival franchise. With one move he could help the Redskins and destroy a rival team at the same time.

Jerry Jones seems to be doing that already in Dallas, so Snyder should focus on acquiring either the Giants or the Eagles."

This is really a pointless discussion. We all know that Snyder needs to hire a GM and give that GM complete autonomy, and we all know that Snyder would never, in a million years, do so. So what's the point in discussing it?

I think it would be a good thing for Snyder to hire a younger man so they could work together for many years.

Even if Snyder backs off on the football operations side of the business, there are many satisfying things left for him to accomplish as the owner of the Redskins. Number one, in my mind, would be the building of a beautiful new stadium in D.C. proper. The fans would love that!

If I am Dan Snyder this is what I would do:

1) Explain to Vinny that his time as VP of Football Operations is done at the end of the season.
2) Vinny has 36 hours til the trade deadline to A) trade Santana Moss for a conditional 2rd pick or better; B) trade Jason Campbell for 4th rd pick; C) trade Rogers for a future first round pick. D) trade a D-lineman for another draft pick
3) Yes, our team would then look like complete shit, but we're left with Cooley and the three blind mice from the '08 draft. This is the time to trade away who will be dead weight after this season for te chance to get draft picks. It has to be about draft picks from here on out.

4) After the bye-week, Fire Zorn. Name Blache interim HC- who will def retire after the season. Gray is promoted to DC. We have to clean house like Atlanta did. The dumped Warrick Dunn, Alge Crumpler and whoever else and look where they are now.
