As a libertarian I find it suspect that a woman has a right over her body but a junkie doesn't?

Every state is different. The Libertarian movement is geared towards letting local people choose what is right for themselves.

Be careful, Dynamite. Libertarian views are to the extreme right, and don't mesh well with the philosophy of the Democans or Republicrats.

Possibly at the expense of the local minority.

Well the things I'm most concerned about are the social issues right now, which Libertarians seem to believe that at least the Federal government should have no role in. I'm down for that. And I like their stance on violence and crime and punishment. I've always leaned towards the right on that. Pro-death penalty, blah blah.

I'm sure as I get older and out of college the fiscal things and healthcare, national security, etc will mean more. But right now it all sorta falls on my deaf ears.

If not I can always smoke a j.

I like certain things, I dislike others, and some are mumbo-jumbo that isn't well thought out at all. In politics principles are shed easily and Libertarians are no different in that regard.

Perhaps . . . . There are consequences for abadoning your principles. The tea baggers are what was the base of the Republican party. As one who attends rallies, the Republicans are hated as much, if not more than the Dems are.

Possibly at the expense of the local minority.

I'm sure you'll not have a problem with that when the local minorities are conservatives or Republicans.
