freddyg12 11-10-2009, 02:28 PM Think of it this way, if DeAngelo Hall had not been there none of this would have happened. Two wrongs do not a right, there's no way Hall can be absolved of complete responsibility because he was someplace doing something he had absolutely no business doing or being.
One of our players had just hit thier QB out of bounds on their sideline. It's a normal reaction in the NFL for both players and coaches to come to the rescure of their player in such circumstances, espically when the the play resulted in a PF being called by the side judge.
BL, Hall was where he should not have been, all that happens after that is on him. He has a fabulous defense however, it was someone elses' fault that he was WRONG, just blame it on the Falcon's coaches, they did it.
You're right, but then you might as well say 'if Deangelo Hall simply stood on the other side of the field and watched...'
When I watched the replay last night I saw Hall come in during the end of the play on the sideline, i.e. he was pursuing the ball. He was already on the sideline when Landry hit Ryan (which btw, wasn't as late as it looked). Did he need to take a couple steps over to where Landry was? Probably not, and who knows what he said.
I don't want to take up for Hall, the dude has always been a problem, but in this case, the coaches coming over to get involved is just a bit much. They deserve a slap on the wrist if nothing else.
SolidSnake84 11-10-2009, 02:34 PM latest word says that the falcons coach is indeed going to be disciplined. Video shows him directly putting hands on Hall. If coaches put their hands on a player like that, angrily or attempt to hurt, i think they should be fired.....
skinsfan69 11-10-2009, 02:39 PM Given the reaction of the ATL sideline, either Landry would have gotten in an altercation with them or Hall. Either way the damage was done by Landry's late hit and the ATL's sideline response to the hit.
Although I actually think what Haynesworth did was helpful (he shoved half of the ATL sideline away from the Redskins player) he still got called for a PF.
In the end, this shouldn't have happened if Landry had not done something that has been a problem in his discipline since he was a rook. What is upsetting is that fans like you have such biased opinion against Hall, that it takes away from the bigger picture of this situation. The league should punish both Hall and Smith, and the Redskins defensive coaching staff need to get on Landry's ass about the late hit.
You're damn right I do. And he's given me every reason to be biased against him because of the things he's done since he's been here. Talk shit about the FO and your teammates, then tackle like a bitch and I'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He still needs to get his jock strap from the Jake Delhomme play. lol.
GTripp0012 11-10-2009, 02:42 PM The only thing that changed for me after this event was my level of respect for Mike Smith. You expect this kind of crap from Hall, if you've been paying attention. Now I expect this kind of behavior from Mike Smith as well.
The event was not just one persons fault, and shame on anyone who is trying to pin it on one party. It takes multiple douchebags to have an altercation as such, and they just happened to meet by chance on the Falcons sideline.
Nothing really terrible happened, and Hall has handled it properly post-game.

I've watched the guy since he came into the league, he has played with 3 different teams and it's the same old story. When will people wake up? Maybe after he's done all 32 teams? By the way the altercation started when he was jawing with 2 Falcons on the sideline and then he got dragged in. Who knows what he said?

It's not his fault this is a bad team, but it's not a complete coincidence that the team that gave him $23 million to sign has a lot of holes and an entire ineffective offense.
Hall is neither the problem nor the solution, he's just a really marketable athlete on a really terrible football team. Still. Nothing has changed.
skinsfan69 11-10-2009, 03:19 PM Bottom line...Hall is a loser and you can't win with guys like him. This tool is on the radio right now talking about "I'm always going to give a 100%." WTF is he talking about??? Tackle someone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! The more he talks the more I dislike him.

He sucks at tackling, but I also want him to cover better and come up with picks. And the same goes for Rogers.

I don't have a problem or care that you have a biased opinion on Hall. I just hate that people like you are detracting from a bigger problem, Laron Landry. In the end, what Landry did cost the team 15 yds.
If you want to bitch about Hall, just bring up his HORRIBLE attempt at a tackle when Delhomme "juked" him. Or him getting burned or anything else he has screwed up on the field. I'll bitch right along side with you.

I'm not detrating from Landry. He's a showboating loser.

I'm surprised that you don't have a job as an analyst with these wonderful breakdowns you provide us with daily. Maybe Vinny can hire you on when he goes to 980 full-time.
