Williams isn't a bad pick up but lets be real. Is this guy going to be able to be a 16 game starter? Probably not. I think he may be a nice back up but that's it. We're still going to need a LT, RG and RT.

Yep, but you might as well add a center to that list.

Well I hope we can get away with a 2nd round RT. So we can draft a first round QB. Levi Jones is going to have to play better for that to happen.

Yep, but you might as well add a center to that list. And LG if the plan is to be a dominant line. Dockery will never be an above average player again.

If the plan is to be an adequate line, you already have pieces to work with in Rinehart, Williams, and perhaps Heyer. But the team needs to add a tackle, if not two, and let go of the dead weight.

why don't you think he can be a starting center in this league?

my thoughts exactly, and while we're at it, why not shore up LG...we could basically use an entirely new offensive line lol

Realistically we're not going to be able to replace the entire OL in one offseason. We're definitely looking at new starters at RG and RT. Maybe Jones can hold down the LT spot as a stop gap measure. I think you can get by with Dock and Rabach (assuming you can re-sign him to a deal that makes sense).

I agree Maty. I am hoping that we can get away with the people we have at RG. Draft a starting RT in the second and a project RG in the forth. That means QB in the first. Not sure what can be done in free agency, if there is no cap everyone becomes a restricted free agent.

Given the bad luck we've had with o-linemen picked up in the later rounds and as UFAs, I think we need to pick up a first round tackle next year. Health-wise, Jones may be a better options for the Redskins than Samuels (given that Samuels is one strong hit from long term injury), and we could do what the Ravens did with Oher and stick our first-round rookie tackle at RT. Hopefully Williams can pan out at RG and with a healthy/older/wiser Rhinehart we can be set at that position.

I hope he turnes out to be an effective 10 year starter for us cause god knows we need to find a diamond in the rough. But I just hope they're not counting on an undrafted free agent to be a starter.

:laughing- Isn't that what we do? It's the Redskin way. How do you think our 0-line got so formidable? :laughing2
