There is a bunch of coach's that will get jobs before GW. Those are Charlie Wiess, Romeo Crennel, Al Saunders, Jim Fassel, possibly even dan Reeves. I would be shocked if Williams is not here next year, even with the spectacular job he is doing.

What's the average salary of a head coach these days? 3 million¿ The only thing that will keep Williams from leaving will be a lack of desire to be a Head Coach on his part...sort of like Ray Rhodes. Then again Snyder could decide to pay him HC salary but I highly doubt it.

Who is realistically going to be needing a new HC next year? And just because Marv did up and leave last year that is because he was so desperate to get a HC job he would have taken anything offered. In fact the only reason he was our DC was because he WASNT offered a HC possition and Snyder offered him a bucket load of money.

The other interesting thing about Lewis is he didn't turn our D around . Kurt Shottenhiemer had a very good unit top 10 or top 5 ranking. Ray Rhodes however improved a unit ranked in the mid late 20s to number 4 in a year. He however is D co-ordinator in Seatle so there is no real mandate to say Greg is leaving unless he has been saying things in the press that i have not seen.

i think GW makes more money than most HCs, he has players working well in his system already, and doesn't have the hassles a HC would have to deal with...

One thing that worries me is I've seen him walk away from Gibbs looking absolutely disgusted. Especially with clock management issues. Just hope there's not a rift between those two coaches.

Williams is an emotional guy, I wouldn't look too far into things. He's frustrated just like everyone else.

I think this issue was discussed between Gibbs and Williams in the beginning. After Marvin Lewis's departure, Snyder certainly wasn't letting that happen. Greg Blache has a lot to do with the success of the defense too. We need to keep this team together for another season and we're looking at a Superbowl contender.

He makes a ton of dough but most likely would get a competitive offer if he got one at all. I would think though that he'd would be low on people's list based on the Buffalo experience. I certainly think he'll get another shot down the road if he wants one but I don't think one year removed from Buffalo anyone will be jumping all over him. He may not want the chance anyways...who knows. Remember with Lewis too...the league is hot for getting minority coaches hired (which they should be) so Lewis was never going to be here long since he was such a respected coach. The NFL was going to figure out a way to get him a HC job. I think he has redeemed himself well in Cincy too. No one will be doing Gregg any favors since he already got his chance. Everyone seems enamroed with him being groomed as our next head coach but I am not sold in any way. He is GREAT def coordinator. Pettibone was a GREAT D coordinator....Norv was a GREAT o coordinator...there are plenty of guys who are great coordinators who make lousy head coaches. Williams already showed what he was capable of. Now the question is whether there were situational problems or was it a fundamental problem with his leadership. Who knows...not for me to judge since I wasn't there.

G. Williams is the best coach for us when Gibbs decides to depart. We don't need any more 'outsiders' heading the team. Could it be that the reason the Bills sucked back then just as they suck right now is because of Bledsoe? Bledsoe probably would have held NE back from winning it all before he was canned!

I don't think we have to worry about Williams leaving any time soon. He has said that he will be here as long as Gibbs....and if that holds true, I'd expect him to be his successor.
Now losing Blache or the other defensive assistants is another story... Blache has done wonders with Griffen and the rest of our "no-name D-line" and I could see another team trying to snatch him up as a "real" D coordinator.
