Ruhskins 03-04-2010, 10:09 PM HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! Post of the day!!!!!! More like moron of the day. Pocket$ $traight 03-04-2010, 10:09 PM It is a hypothetical Pocket. I rather would draft two QBs than trade for Anderson or Quinn. THose guys suck. The rationale from that would be similar to why we drafted Frerotte after we got Shuler, that being a young backup, and a possible replacement if the experiment goes awry. IF I was the GM the first two picks are O linemen no matter what. Just saying the choice of a second drafted QB is preferable to Anderson or Quinn in my opinion. Think about it now. Yeah I want Okung and Bruce Campbell if I was the GM, but say Shanny has his eye on Bradford and gets a additional second round pick. He could get a top LT and possibly get Lefevour or Max Hall, etc in the second round. If your stud falters you have another stud that might take over. Not that crazy of a scenario. Not likely to happen, but who knows. Gotcha. I think the whole trade scenario is unrealistic. But I would not pass on a tackle in the first if we were going to take a QB (or two) in the second. I also don't think Bradford is making it to us. GTripp0012 03-04-2010, 10:10 PM Then we should also be able to get guys out of the UFL to play OL? right? Hell lets look at the CFL also. We should be able to find some young talent.Right but then the OL would continue to suck. Which is the whole point, it needs the be fixed. The idea with getting just anyone to play quarterback isn't about actually being good at the position. You can play it for all I care. It's to basically ignore a position that needs to take a backseat while we address real issues. I don't really care who lines up under center for us next year. Campbell would be the easiest, and probably best, choice, but I don't really care if it's him, Colt, Bradford, Clausen, McCoy, Pennington, Ramsey, Brooks Bollinger, Jim Sorgi, or Brad Iciek. If we get a good deal for Campbell (second or better) we should make that move, and still draft Okung with the first pick. It's time to not spin the wheels in the mud any longer. The Goat 03-04-2010, 10:12 PM Is Jeff Garcia retired? I'd take him over the other possible QBs listed... Pocket$ $traight 03-04-2010, 10:13 PM Right but then the OL would continue to suck. We take Bradford or Clausen in the first then that would be the third first round pick in the last decade that should have been spent on a lineman. Ruhskins 03-04-2010, 10:13 PM Is Jeff Garcia retired? I'd take him over the other possible QBs listed... Is Vinny Testaverde available? LOL. Wait, wasn't someone like seriously talking about Jake Plummer the other day? Hilarious. GTripp0012 03-04-2010, 10:13 PM Is Jeff Garcia retired? I'd take him over the other possible QBs listed...Throw him on the pile of guys-who-could-be-protected-by-Okung this year. GTripp0012 03-04-2010, 10:13 PM Is Vinny Testaverde available? LOL. Wait, wasn't someone like seriously talking about Jake Plummer the other day? Hilarious.Them too. Throw them in there. SFREDSKIN 03-04-2010, 10:14 PM Have we not learned from last year that our OL is the achilles heel of this team? If they can sign Stephen Neal and another FA OL it would be great, but this team needs young OL with future potential to protect the QB. What is a 4-12 record tell you guys about the OL? Blame the QB all you want, but protection starts up front. The Goat 03-04-2010, 10:14 PM That's a huge man-pile...I'm a little grossed out. Back to football. |
