Very likely to happen if they trade Carriker. The thing with him is that a lot of folks felt he was better suited for a 3-4 from the jump and that he couldn't take a beating at DT like he has and now we're getting him with a bum ankle and two beat up shoulders.

Like I said, if we were to trade Carter, Carriker would not be my first choice. Maybe Carter for Alex Barron would be better? Or Carter for a second and a sixth pick only?

[QUOTE=CultBrennan59;672905]But we could trade draft picks and trade some of the players mentioned in my signature to get more draft picks, just to other teams.[/QUOT

Like you, I think there will be one or two trades of current players for draft picks. If so, the Skins could afford to trade a pick for Carriker.

Wooaahh Carter isn't worth a second round pick, better yet a second AND a sixth. He's worth around a 4th round pick. No team would be that stupid to give up a 2nd and a 6th round pick for a 30something year old DE.

How many DL's do you need. I'm okay with this if we are cutting somebody else.

he would play 3-4 DE. i liked him a lot coming out of college, but definitely hasnt lived up to expectations. would be wary about this for sure.

Like I mentioned before this could be something to the effect of signing a player with starting potential; if he doesn't start, we didn't put it all on him to start. If he's backup and healthy, you still look at him as starting potential at 2nd string. This is what we've wanted for awhile. The methods of acquiring depth and/or quality signings with injuries can be questioned, but it's still been acquiring guys that could be starter level vs definitely not.

There are gradual roster cuts and NOBODY is exempt from them in a literal sense.

Yes, see my post on page 2 #21, I'm tired of putting it up all over the boards tonight.

no offense but your copy/pastes between threads are just rehashing your opinion over and over

I respect that everyone has an opinion, some which may be more educated than others depending, but just reposting it over and over isn't the way to sell your point

I'm not sure you get a 2nd for Carter alone, much less a 6th added
