Despite the mostly good natured humor taking place in this thread, I'd like to point out that, in my humble opinion, the typecasting of hispanics is ban-worthy.

I wasnt trying to be prejudiced in my post, i only said when i see the people in the theaters who bring infants, that it's mainly hispanics. That's not racist, that's just stating a fact. If you were there, you'd see the same thing.

And for Winchester's hispanic population, that is a statistic, AGAIN, not racist.

People need to relax, everytime somebody mentions an ethnic group, it doesn't automatically make it racist.

For example; the barber shop downtown here is called "Sharp Edges", it is owned by an african american guy, and most of his customer base is also african american. Does that make me a racist for saying that?

No. But saying, "Winchester, VA, has it really bad for hispanic population" certainly seems like you're comparing hispanics to a malignant infestation.

Yeah the not so subtle undertones about Winchester having it "bad" stuck out to me. You know besides the whole "all the kids kids crying at movies are the worthless Hispanic ones" (totally interpretative there I'll admit).

Wrong donkey. Totally f'ing wrong. You mentioned something that had absolutely no relevance to the conversation. The mere mention of it, to most reasonable people, would convey that you personally felt it was somehow relevant in a negative way. YOU brought it up. It had nothing to do with anything. What point did it have at all if the subtle point wasn't negative? Please do explain how someone couldn't see it in a negative light. Bringing up race in that type of situation screams racism. It does.

For example; the barber shop downtown here is called "Sharp Edges", it is owned by an african american guy, and most of his customer base is also african american. Does that make me a racist for saying that?
Not at all. Because it actually is a relevant statement to the conversation (at this point unfortunately).

This is quickly turning into the firstdown and I 's conversation about sleeping babies. =)

I think SolidSnake owes the board a apology but not a band, that seems over the top.

Do yourself a favor and read a few pages back...or if that is too hard, i'll post my original post, so that you can see what i was trying to say:

Go ask the people who are in the theater with babies because except for the alamo, they are in every showing.....and not to sound racial, but they are usually hispanic families.

I even said that i wasn't try to sound racist. I was only saying the ones i see who bring infants in, are usually hispanic. That's a fact. So if facts seem racist to you, then sorry.

If anyone is offended, I am sorry. None of my posts were ever meant to be racist....i was just trying to tell my experiences....

Here....i'll ban myself....goodbye to WP, and my friends that are here, know how to keep in touch with me (facebook, xbox live, etc...)

When someone says I don't mean to be racist...

It usually means something racist is to follow. Just sayin'.

Dude I think folks are pissed most about this statement:

The closest town to me, Winchester, VA, has it really bad for hispanic population. A few years ago the census had it about 1 to 4 in terms of ratio. Anyway, that's where we go to the movies, since the next closest town for theaters is Martinsburg, WV. Since the alamo opened up last October, we haven't been going anywhere else.

You can see the undertone where this may offend folks. Really just say you are sorry and move on.
