Speak for yourself. My next gig is going to be designing shrubbery. I can't wait to get off this prison planet.

Because we are finite beings and, as such, try as we might, we cannot fully comprehend the infinite. We have some concepts of infinity but they must be reduced to equations that can be understood by our individual or collective (and finite) brains. For example, we can define the constant ratio of a circle's circumference divided by its diameter as Pi, but, to date, we cannot calculate its exact value. Thus, in science, we inadequately use the finite term "Pi" and its equation to inadequately describe the infinite term that is 3.14159.....
Speaking of the infinite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set) the Mandelbrot Set (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/21/Mandel_zoom_00_mandelbrot_set.jpg) is amazing.

To assert that Christianity or that people working to further their christian beliefs has not created great benefits throughout the last 1000 years is to ignore history. I believe this was my point earlier. I fully accept that both on an individual and corporate basis, religion has been used as a destructive force in this world - I just believe that, on the whole over the last 1000 years, Christianity has brought more good than evil into the world.
like the carrying or destroying the texts of it's done its good and it's done its bad in history
I don't think that you can quantify good vs bad
how do you measure war?

Why do you have to wait? If you need assistance I'll be glad to help you.
No need to thank me, that's what friends are for.

I simply don't understand the first statement. Sorry.

I simply don't understand the first statement. Sorry.
you said that christianity brought more good than evil
I said like the carrying of knowledge as well as the destroying, it's done it on both fronts
I don't see how you can measure/quantify its good vs its bad
war being an example

wow, yall still at it? Joe Redskin, I wanted to say you win, the Saxons were
Christians before 1066. Although that still does not prove that some monks in Ireland saved a book and therefore saved civilization or something like that? Anyway, your insults are not insults I am not emotionally invested in this discussion. Parting nod
In 616 Æthelbert of Kent died. The kingdom of Kent and the associated Anglo-Saxon kingdoms which Kent had had influence over relapsed into heathenism for several decades.
