I was watching that mini-camp video posted on ESPN.com. They mentioned that Devin Thomas dropped a long ball by McNabb. I don't know why everyone is so high on him. He reminds me of Rob Gardner 2.0.
Yeah man.. that's why I don't want to draft Okung, he's given up a sack before. Reminds me of Heyer.

In what way?
Seriously, I have a hard time figuring these guys out. You hear constant praise about Kelly's work ethic and physical abilities. He made some key catches last year, he just wasn't worked into the fold a lot. He's not running his trap and writing books.

just crap like that i guess, this was from dec 08 but i just feel like thats his attitude towards the game
He admits that he came into it wrong, it'll be fine.

Nice write up from the examiner:
Rick Snider: At first glance, lots to do | Washington Examiner (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/sports/At-first-glance_-lots-to-do-91437244.html)
Teammates stared at quarterback Donovan McNabb, bewildered that the Redskins' nemesis is actually on their side. The former Philadelphia star opened Sunday with a 40-yard strike, which Washington has seen from him before -- only this time it was a good thing.
Not a deep read, but sounds like the mini camp was positive all around.
I do have a question, for anybody who might know, at Shanahan's press conference he was asked about a demerit board or infraction board, and the way I understood it, if you make a discipline type mistake you get ding'ed for it. Does anyone know any more of what that is?

Speaking of "smoke screens" the way the Shanahan's have described our O-line personnel would lead one to believe they're satisfied (at least to some extent) with much of what we already have in place. Could this be a draft disguise or has our personnel been a subject of devalue?
Maybe it's not the intention to draft a tackle at #4 at all, if they decide not too, it would be great if we could find a trade partner to acquire more picks that we so desperately need.

So Laron Landry looks absolutely, ridiculously huge.
We know since he got moved to FS that he hasn't played to his potential, BUT:
- He has great speed
- He fit really well playing SS near the line his last year at LSU
-He now looks bigger than some of our D-linemen
Any chance we move him to LB, then draft Berry for FS, SS is a dogfight between Horton and Doughty, and we have a shored up LB and Secondary core.
We can take a stop gap approach with O-line, though I'd prefer a LT or trade back.
I just brought this up only because it looks like Landry cycled once or twice in the offseason, or did nothing but eat, sleep, shit in the gym for 3 months.
Landry is up to 230 but that's still on the small side for LB. I do think he will be utilized better in this defense and won't be left alone as the "savior" where his coverage skills are exposed.

Anyone know why Landry has bulked up? I'm assuming he's bulked up w/muscle & not fat.
I'm guessing he's bulked up in anticipation of playing down in the box more this year. Have you seen the mini camp pic of him? I'd say there's no worry about him putting on fat.

I know, as well as everyone else, that OT is our biggest hole. However, Eric Berry really is the best player on the board. Landry could really help out near the line of scrimmage if we draft Berry, and look to signing guys like Flozell Adams for a year as stop-gap measures.
I'll repeat what everyone's said on here so far, Thursday is going to be crazy, and I can't wait for it. We have a lot of options.
