SFREDSKIN 04-16-2010, 07:02 PM Is everyone there except AH, Mac, and JC?
3 guys that prob won't be on the team after next weekend.
I think the brass would accept a 2nd, a 4th, and a 5th for those 3.
Trying to figure out who else we can expect to be shipped out?
That's pretty sad if that's all you can get for them. We might as well hold on to them.

I agree 100%. Addition by subtraction(division) is not where I hope we are heading.
I can accept only having 4 picks this year. Don't create a new hole to fill-in an old hole.
That didn't sound right, but it is apropos.
GusFrerotte 04-16-2010, 07:26 PM Sorry, but personnel does have something to do with it. Sure Zorn sucked, but Gibbs wasn't so great with his core of players either. Gibbs next to last season was 5-11, only one better than Zorn's 4-12. I mean we had only one pro bowler last year in Fletch, and he was an alternate. I sure do hope our FO has some nice scheme in the works via trading JC and maybe even AH. We need more picks. I can see us trading down also. The draft is loaded with line talent, but if we get rid of Rocky we will need to get a new LB to replace him for sure on top of the one we already need to draft just for depth.

Orakpo was also a pro bowler, at least Gibbs was able to bring in guys He wanted unlike Zorn

Gibbs' last season was 9-7. But I agree with what you've said here.
Ultimately, Rocky has been part of a team that has been middle of the pack at best, or downright bad. The personnel that Shanahan and Allen are sifting through are not their guys, they are Vinny's guys.
As far as I'm concerned, 90% of the roster could be completely turned upside down and I wouldn't shed a tear. It's a 4-12 team we're talking about after all.

I still say that Gibbs 2007 team was a Super Bowl contender rolling into the playoffs. Unfortunately a few bad bounces took the Seahawks game away from us and we ended up going home early.
T.O.Killa 04-16-2010, 09:13 PM Are there tryout players at camp. I saw a guy named Britt on the oline.
CultBrennan59 04-16-2010, 09:28 PM I would think that Spikes would make a fine ILB, especially in the 4th round. He's not an explosive speedster but between the hashmarks I think he's skilled enough and smart enough to hold his own.
Also, I think people are getting carried away with this whole 3-4 thing. We're not going to be running a 3-4 100% of the time
As much as I want Spikes and as badly as he's done at the combine...I say he goes in the third..
Why aren't people even thinking/mentioning Robert Henson, he fits that Middle/Outside LB mould and thats what some good 3-4 MLB's are.
On a side note why would we have Gholston play NT. I thought thats what we brought Kemo in here to do.
Player_HTTR 04-16-2010, 09:28 PM Is it just me or are Laron's shoulders an arms retarded big? Like that is all he worked out and don't make him piss big? Anyways I hope it makes him tackle better unless he is traded, and Rocky come on bro the being a RFA sucks for a lot of people.

I'll be interested to hear what the new staff thinks of him. After his twitter incident last year it's like he fell off the face of the earth.
