I wouldn't be adverse to the first part of that trade happening a second time.
Maybe we can trade Portis for Revis and a 2nd rounder...NOT! :)

Lotus 04-21-2010, 10:31 PM I wouldn't be adverse to the first part of that trade happening a second time. Maybe we can trade Portis for Revis and a 2nd rounder...NOT! :) SkinzWin 04-21-2010, 10:32 PM I'd be fine with AH for Brown because Brown is a Pro Bowl calibre OT. That would also fill a critical need for us and free us up to do whatever we want with the #4 pick. Well as my half way to the century make post I would just like to say we better get something more than Brown in an AH trade. A 100 million dollar stud DT, disgruntled or not, is not equal to one "Pro Bowl calibre OT". IMO. Lotus 04-21-2010, 10:34 PM Say, AH for Brown and a 4th? GusFrerotte 04-21-2010, 10:35 PM This would be very nice. I think the Carriker deal was a nice deal as well, but I do not like how we have again managed to widdle away our picks for the win now approach talked about in the Carriker thread. Bottom line is we need more picks!!!!! SkinzWin 04-21-2010, 10:37 PM Say, AH for Brown and a 4th? you're getting warmer.... Pocket$ $traight 04-21-2010, 10:40 PM This would be very nice. Bottom line is we need more picks!!!!! More picks is nice but I would rather have AH and Rocky than a 3rd and a 5th. rbanerjee23 04-21-2010, 10:43 PM I still don't understand how can anyone call Haynesworth a cancer, when we have Rocky bitching at getting tendered, we had Portis calling out Sellers and asking for him to be replaced, we've had Springs (who is a good guy) completely disappear in the offseason and getting called out by his own teammates about it. I'm not saying he's a saint, but some people are being over dramatic about it. Any DT who has made $32 million over 13 months and is simply being asked to move to NT and doesn't comply is a cancer Ruhskins 04-21-2010, 11:27 PM Any DT who has made $32 million over 13 months and is simply being asked to move to NT and doesn't comply is a cancer So you're ok with a $32 million dollar player being asked to do something a much cheaper player (and more suited to the position) could do? Great, like I said, let's put McNabb at running back then. How did Landry work at Free Safety there? Skinny Tee 04-22-2010, 12:23 AM Herold Melvin sung a song called "If you don't know me by now, you will never know me" Well, it seems to me that, if AH hasn't been traded by now then it probably won't happen. I did a search for major draft day trades and have a pretty mundane list from NFL.com: Top 10 draft trades in NFL history (http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d8079f3cf&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true) Basically only two of the top ten were players traded who were currently active in the NFL instead of just selected in that year's draft. Jerome Bettis (in '96) and Marshall Faulk (in '99) were the biggest two players traded on draft day. I'm just not seeing any trades for AH coming to fruition by tonight or the night of the draft. If they don't happen by then I highly doubt he moves from our roster. This goes too for the other players on the trade block...(Rocky, Campbell, Rogers, Landry and perhaps Carter) GTripp0012 04-22-2010, 12:26 AM I know the following: Roethlisberger to the Raiders is either happening as we speak, or not at all. If we wake up in the morning and he's not a Raider, I think he's a Steeler for the rest of the year. |
