Teacher Caught on Camera Beating Student

Wife is a teacher's assistant here in Frederick County. They can only take the phones until the end of the school day. They tried having rules keeping them until the end of the year, etc, but the parents got mad because they still had to pay for them, and in the end, it was the kind of thing where there is no real way to prohibit it unless every single kid was searched down, so they kind of turn a blind eye to it unless you are caught in the middle of class or something...

Pagers are so small now they fit on a key chain like a keyfob. My company tried a cost saving measuire of taking blackberrys and replacing them with pagers. It was a nice attempt LOL!!!

There is a guy at my work that still has one of the old ass pagers that he wears on his belt!! like who uses one anymore these days? Anybody???

Well I'm driving down the road and the thing is on vibrate and when it goes off it scares the shit out of me. I screamed like a little girl and spilled coffe all over myself. The car sitting beside me saw the whole thing go down. It had to be funny seeing a guy screaming, shaking, and coffee flying all over the car for no apparent reason.

As a SPED teacher there are days that are quite trying but I could never imagine going to this extreme. I do worry about our public schools, we are no longer producing thinkers and that worries me. It is all end of the year test driven. Kids now adays have very little foundation, like spelling words correctly and knowing basic math fluently. As a teacher it scares me. If something does not correct itself and soon we are going to be in trouble.
