well, after this thread i switched my dogs' food from purina one to iam lamb n rice au naturale.
im going with lamb for the natural glucosamine for my bigger dogs torn meniscus which will fill with fluid periodically then he will be in pain, limp and hold his leg up in a very tense position for days or seeks.
yesterday i went to let them out of the cage and he banged his bad knee, hollered like the dickens, was shaking from pain, had to carry him up the stairs when we went to sleep.
but in less than 2 days he is now using it. the dogs do seem happier and more playful. its kinda hard to tell b/c they are just 2 and 4 respectively and like to play alot to begin with but i have noticed an increase in their energy.
anyways thanks fellas for bringing this up and talking about it. didint think dog food selection would have all that great of a difference.
cool thing is the purina one for 18 lbs costs 20 bucks, 15.5 lbs of the iams cost 20 too so it really isnt all that more expensive.
