I admit when we signed ARE, I was pretty excited simply because he was a very good number 2 in Pittsburg and a solid returner. Then he came to Washington and had maybe 2-3 games with 100 yds receiving and only one good return game that I can remember.. ( colts game). Atleast Santana hasn't been a dissapointment since we traded for him.

Me to I couldn't wait to start seeing some reverses for TD's and then reality set in.

Plus Obama is my future boss, so from now on I'm going to have to defend him regardless of my political views.

Whats your line of work?

Don't know yet, but it's likely going to end up being either accounting or budget analysis for the federal government. I'm in the process of applying for jobs. You can track my progress on this thread

Gus, I think you used a terrible analogy. I think a GM and HC have a far greater chance of changing around a bad team quicker vs. a new President and a few new Congressmen. Not only is the President working with a far greater debt he has to satisfy other people to agree with him and vote in his policies. A new GM can hire whatever coach he wants, whatever coaching staff he wants, whatever scouting department he wants, and whatever players he thinks he needs with in reason. Yes the owner does write the checks so that is why I said within reason. But with someone like DS who is willing to spend.... Allen and Shanny have a far better chance of changing things at Redskins Park vs. Obama and Congress. Imagine if Allen had to run everything through a group of people who had to vote on whether anything he presented was a good course of action. The Skins would never change.

You would have better off using an anology of a business owner. He can fire all his employees and hire a whole new staff but the business will still continue to be crappy and not succeed if the owner does not change his goals or business plan. Otherwise he gets the same product out of different management and employees.

I like to think everyone can make a difference, so if you get up there and start using their screwy accounting or budgeting then all your going to succeed in doing is helping the trillion dollar debt grow.

Ya know the old saying is "if it aint broke don't fix it" but I can tell you the damn tires gone flat, the rubber has been torn off, the rim is beat up as hell and cutting into the pavement, and they are still trying to get mileage out of the damn thing.
