2007 Harley-Davidson, Electra Glide Classic
What do you drive?skinsfan_nn 08-20-2010, 08:46 PM 2007 Harley-Davidson, Electra Glide Classic 724Skinsfan 08-20-2010, 08:52 PM Also, my wife drives a 2001 (maybe?) Honda Civic Just sold my wife's '01 Civic and bought a '07 Town & Country. I wasn't a fan but it's for her so... I drive an '05 Malibu. Smooter 08-20-2010, 09:58 PM what do you think of your truck? i have an 03 ram 1500 4x4 quad cab on wide 18's that gets about 10 mpg. it has been my work/personal truck and its getting ready to die so i'm gonna sell it. i'm 90% sure i'm gonna get a 07 gmc not sure if i'm going to go with the 2500 or the 1500, i may just beef up a 1500 I love it. In 2007 there were the Classic model (old style) and the new style. Mine is the new style extended cab z71. At times I wish mine were a crew cab so if you need the room I'd go that route. I have the 6.0L gas engine in mine and it gets around 12-17 depending on my driving habits. If I could choose again I would have went with the Duramax. I like the 6.0, but the diesel would've been sweet. Like every 3/4 ton I've ever seen, it rides like a tank. I've been told the crew cabs ride a little smoother because they're not as rigid. In the end if what you do requires a heavy duty pickup I'd definitely go with a 2500 over a 1500. I've never once looked at my truck and wished it was a half ton. Hope this helps and if you get one post up pics! Schneed10 08-20-2010, 10:26 PM Which car do you mostly enjoy terrorizing the road with? The minivan or the Pontiac? It has to be tough to choose between wide-body and speed. Depends on the defensive tactic I want to employ that day. The minivan is better for bangin down low and taking a charge. But the Pontiac is better for guarding the perimeter and stopping the drives down the center of the lane. mredskins 08-20-2010, 10:26 PM 07 4runner wife has 09 acura rdx, love both cars! dmek25 08-20-2010, 10:33 PM 2003 Chevy Tahoe, loaded to the gills. only 60000 miles on it. great vehicle cpayne5 08-20-2010, 10:58 PM I love it. Load the bed and it'll smooth out, too. :silly: I'd love to find a 03-07 (classic), 4x4, black, 3/4 ton, extended cab, long bed with the 8.1 and either the Allison or the manual. That's the truck I'm hoping will pop up one day on Craigslist. The Duramax is a beast of an engine, but it's hard to justify the $5-7k premium unless you are towing all the time. The 6.0 in your truck is an awesome engine. The GenIII small blocks are all very well engineered and you should get a lot of life out of it. I'm probably going to swap a 5.3 into the truck I listed in my first post, above. They are very popular swaps for a wide variety of vehicles (RX7, older BMWs, Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs etc). Smooter 08-20-2010, 11:21 PM Don't ask me how but you made me remember two things I don't like. 1. Torque management. As soon as my drivetrain warranty is up I'm getting a BlackBear tune and taking it down. 2. the GM 6 Speed automatic. Nothing too bad like erratic shifting, but I will never get used to my truck shifting so much. It changes gears constantly around town and is kinda annoying. cpayne5 08-20-2010, 11:33 PM Don't ask me how but you made me remember two things I don't like. 1. Torque management. For #1, you could probably get a tuner that you can remove TM with and then reprogram the computer if you need to take it in for work. If your truck has a tow/haul mode, try using it. It should hold the shifts longer and the computer will not allow the transmission to shift so often (up or down). GMScud 08-20-2010, 11:44 PM Nice..I've had a 2003 Nissan Altima SL for 7 years and it hasn't let me down. I have done all the maintenance stuff and it works like a charm. The only issue is my sun roof doesn't open anymore. The dealer said it would cost $400 to replace the motor on it but I don't care enough to fix it. Does it still come with a nice Bose sound system? Yeah it's a great car. I got all the bells and whistles. Had too. I'm too much of a gadget guy not too. It has a 9 speaker Bose audio system, XM, leather, sunroof, iPod dock, bluetooth, the little camera that comes on the display screen when you're in reverse, digital climate control.. It's a lotta fun. Very good car. And so damn smooth. | |
