I don't think we need a RB. Torain is going to be good. I wonder if anything more ever came of that Kenny Britt rumor? He has been putting up modest numbers the last two weeks. Tennessee trade reincarnation anyone? Disgruntled WR's straight up? Thomas for Britt? Or Thomas and Haynesworth for Britt and....

Torain has an injury history. We definitely could use another back with experience.

I wouldn't say experience so much as a warm body that knows the system. Torrain. Hopefully Simpson and/or Williams can contribute.

Michael Pittman and Andre Hall may be on Shanny's emergency hotline. They were on the 2008 Broncos' roster.

Why are my fellow redskins fans getting all uptight about this D.Thomas situation?
Seriously..why?

We have a speed demon in Armstrong who's leaving DB's behind
We have another WR who's faster than Devin Hester and finally gives this skins team something they haven't had since Brian Mitchell or Darrell Green left...A true return man threat!
Not to mention we have a guy sitting on our practice squad who has shown me he has as much if not MORE potential than Thomas in Terrence Austin.
AND...we still will have another season to see how much a bust in Malcolm Kelly we have..lol
Maybe he steps up..maybe not,but i like our situation.

I would be totally fine with trading D.Thomas for a player that can help us now or for a draft pick next season.

I think the big reason we are trading DT, is exactly that, we can trade him. We need picks, and badly. This team has no depth to speak of in too many areas to be real contenders, yet. With the NFC East wide open, we can make the playoffs, but come time to face GB, Minn, or the Saints, our guys will be packing their bags to Maui. Our WR corp is still a joke, and I hate to say it, but it includes the newbies. Yes they have potential, but we haven't seen much from even AA, with the exception of that one bomb and a few more grabs. Yeah Banks might end up being a stud of a return man, but how is he going to be at WR? Austin is big on potential also, but why was Banks even cut, and Austin put on PS, if they were so great? Galloway and Roydell are just wastes of roster space. We should have trolled the college ranks for undrafted rooks than sign these guys. We need DBs and LBs, and maybe we can snag a keeper even for depth in the 5th round. O line still takes top priority, along with a NT. Any shopping of Thomas should include AH for multiple picks.

Tatum Bell anyone? I actually would suspect LJ or Parker would return first. Either way I am cautiously excited about more Torain

PHazard where did you hear it that DT only attended 55-60% of offseason workouts? I was under the impression everybody but Haynesworth showed up and put the work in, including DT. I didn't hear a single thing all offseason about DT only putting in the minimum hours and not taking it seriously.

I'd love to see DT on the field in all honesty, but if the coaching staff wants to trade him, well then it's their choice. I don't feel like he's been given a chance to succeed here, but there's more to that than meets the eye. Maybe the coaching staff doesn't like him, maybe he doesn't impress in practice, for whatever reason he's not even playing on offense whatsoever. I doubt we'd get anything for him but it's not in my hands.

I don't think the staff has anything against him. I think it is a matter that the FO is after a trade to acquire more picks and unless they can get a taker for AH, DT is the only one that is "shopable" for a trade.

Let's trade him for Peyton Hillis.

Yeah, I don't think the staff really has anything against DT either, but to be fair I do remember hearing that 55-60% figure as it relates to DT.

So of 10 draft choices from the 2008 draft, only one player (Kareem Moore) has managed to establish himself as a starter by season 3. Thanks Vinny.
