Weirdly enough, even though we haven't had the inches (that's what she said!) that we had last year, the roads are a billion times worse than the blizzard last year.
First major snow storm of 2010-2011 Winter todayTheMalcolmConnection 12-16-2010, 01:51 PM Weirdly enough, even though we haven't had the inches (that's what she said!) that we had last year, the roads are a billion times worse than the blizzard last year. SolidSnake84 12-16-2010, 03:04 PM Weirdly enough, even though we haven't had the inches (that's what she said!) that we had last year, the roads are a billion times worse than the blizzard last year. Its because its too cold for the chemicals to work that treat the road. ArtMonkDrillz 12-16-2010, 03:26 PM I just went outside the office and it looks like we have about 2" of snow here in good old Glen Burnie. Not much, but I'm glad I just installed new windshield wipers and that I grabbed my ice scrapper/brush before I left this morning. Monkeydad 12-16-2010, 05:26 PM Snowing in PA...just enough to cover the ground so far...MAYBE up to 1/4 to 1/2 inch by now. No big deal. My son's been bugging my wife "I want it to warm up and snow so I can go out and play in it". Mixing up us telling him it's too cold to go out and his desire for snow. Little kids can be funny like that. SolidSnake84 12-16-2010, 05:50 PM Looked outside the window and it is still snowing here. Thats almost 8 straight hours with no break in it whatsoever. I thought it was stopping, but it picked up pace again about an hour ago. We have about 3 inches outside right now, and the forecast called for up to 4, so it is right inline...10 more mins here and then its home to get out the snowblower and 4 wheeler... GMScud 12-16-2010, 05:55 PM Meh. After last year's snowpacalypse, I'd hardly call this "major." Pretty though. I'm glad I don't have to drive in rush-hour today. What a nightmare. SolidSnake84 12-16-2010, 09:11 PM I should have made a better title. I meant it was the first major storm for my area, the shenandoah valley. We had a skiff of snow last Friday that amounted to about 1/2 inch, but today's 4 inches is our first significant storm of the season... htownskinfan 12-16-2010, 10:10 PM It got up to 76 here today, snow melted pretty fast :) MTK 12-16-2010, 10:10 PM 4 inches ain't no storm, that's a dusting warpaint 12-17-2010, 02:34 AM I'm still having a hard time accepting that summer is over with. :( I am still running my Air Con 6 out of seven days here. IDK how I would handle snow lasting more than a week. | |
