Hey everybody, maybe this will be a fun new thread, but i remember the "Snowpocalypse" thread from last year and wanted to make a new one.
I live in Stephens City, and right now we are experiencing the 1st major snowstorm of this winter. We had about a 1/2 of snow last Friday, but it was just a squall that came and went.
It is snowing to beat the band right now, and has been snowing since about 8:45 AM. We are supposed to get anywhere between 2 to 4 inches today. It was right around this time last year that the snow started, and as you know, it was a very snowy, record setting winter.
So is anybody getting snow where you are???

I'm in Springfield, VA and we're getting some snow right now. Supposedly we'll end up with 1-3 inches.
The downside to that is that I work 51 miles from my house...about 30 of which are spent on the beltway...the afternoon commute is definitely going to suck!

F...Snow, really I have no desire for it this year at all.
Already had snow a few times here in NY, think we've had flurries every day for the past week. Nothing major yet in my area, but Buffalo has already been hammered.

In Chansilly, VA. 1-3 inches projected. Shouldn't be too bad unless the forecast it just off.
It's funny how different areas react to snow. I think it's best displayed by school closings. I have family in Michigan, and they send their kids to school with snow boots so they can play outside during recess. Here it's projected to be 1-3 inches by 9PM and they are letting kids out early lol.

Me too, but the funny thing is, it isn't winter officially until December 21st, which is also my wife's birthday! 2 wonderful things that happen on the same day. Oh and I love snow, obviously, btw...
Move further north, you'll learn to hate the snow and cold in no time.

I'll second the f snow opinion. Just tried going to the bank and learned my car has little to no traction in a couple inches of snow. Saw that my neighbor t-boned a garbage truck at the entrance to my neighborhood, and that easily could've been me if didnt know how to work the emergency brake lol. I have no patience for it at all. It just needs to go away and stop disrupting my plans.
