SS-Just curious, based on your additional review of Locker, what did you see that offsets the concerns about his accuracy and decision making? Also, why (if you do) do you feel his upside is higher than Newton's? Not advocating for Newton, just curious..

Here's mine-
Round One-Robert Quinn (UNC)-beast of a pass rushing OLB. Paired with 'Rak we can cause major issues for opponents passing games..
Round Two-Colin Kaepernick (Nevada)-Kid is as big as Newton but faster, 4 year starter, has good accuracy, solid arm strength, good intangibles.. I'm not a huge fan of 2nd round QB because of the lack of history of success but he's very close to a Roethlisberger with more speed.

Kaepernick reminds me too much of Pike. Tall, but kind for fragile in my opinion. Plus some people think he may have to change positions in the NFL. A

Like I've mentioned before, Quinn is reportedly getting a lot of buzz inside Redskins Park. He could be the "surprise" 1st round pick.

Anyhow, as to your question. I haven't watched too much Newton yet. But from what I have seen he's got a lot of potential. But I see more potential than productivity, and that kind of concerns me. And I feel like some of his weaknesses were masked. So I think I'd almost rather take a chance on a Mitch Mustain in the 7th round than a Newton at #10 overall.

I was under the impression that Locker would tuck the ball and run more often than I'd like. But watching the games, first I was impressed with his accuracy on the long ball. I did have some concerns about him telegraphing his passes sometimes. But what really impressed was his ability to get out of the pocket and then set his feet and his body and throw the pass. He can avoid the rush, and throw on the run but at the same time have his feet set and throw a strong, accurate pass.

1st Round: Cam Newton. Im ready for him to become the face of this organization and turn us around, and his upside and play-making ability cant be passed up. If not Mallett would be acceptable, I would like Locker, and be mildly upset if we take gabbert.
2nd Round: Justin Blackmon or Jon Baldwin IF pouncey is gone.

So to recap: both Blackmon and Floyd are returning to school next season

1st Round:
Marcell Dareus, DE - if he's gone then
Von Miller, OLB

2nd Round (in order by availability):
If no Dareus, then Paea, DT
Pouncey, G
Wisniewski, C/G
If no Dareus, Liuget, DT

I'd like this too.
