Very very nice.
Vielen Dank.
I've got a book for you: Finding the Winning Edge
Its a hard book to trackdown but if you can get your hands on that book you'll love it.
Its one the best football books ever.
I'm actually not exxagerating.
Thanks. Knew about it while searching for reviews on his other bio, but still haven't read it. Perhaps InterLibrary Loan will help me out when I can get some time.

I still don't see the media's love affair with Locker. A 4 year starter in the same system should be rather sharp with his throws, etc. Every time he has the limelight in a nationally televised game the last two years I come away not impressed. Guy is inaccurate, throws floaters too often, and looks out of rhythm whenever he plays a big game(the ones I have watched anyway). Nebraska totally sucked in the bowl game, and Jake had to win it with his feet. The strategy was obvious to keep Locker from having to win the game with his arm, which has to raise some flags about his being able to excel at the next level. How can Cam Newton look so damn sharp with this his only year as a starter, and Locker looking sort of ragged. And please, don't give me this crap about how the Shanahans can groom the kid. The only titles Shanahan has won was with "The Natural" Elway who didn't need any grooming when he came under Reeves wing.

What I found interesting was when Mayock broke down Locker's footwork. His base is initially very narrow and then becomes really wide. They then said that that was like an infielder's throwing motion. He actually was a pitcher and outfielder
Perhaps some of Locker's issues are fixable.
Do you really want to use a #10 pick on a 50/50 proposition that Locker's problems are fixable? Cam Newton looks like a stud after only one year as a starter and Locker still comes off as a shaky underclassman after 4 years as a starting QB. Right now I like Gabbert and Ponder. Cam is hot, but to me is too much of a tease or gamble. I wish he would have gotten one more year in as a starter.

At this point I'd really like to trade down or out of the first.. Load up on picks.. I don't see any player at 10 making an impact right away.. Miller will be gone and so will Peterson and Prince. As for qb YUCK! Locker's stock is falling fast I've heard and Gabbert will be gone before we pick.

I said I found Mayock's comment interesting. I said it may possibly mean one of Locker's issues may be partially fixable.
That does not mean I said "this is a reason we should take him at tenth in the first round".
That does not mean I said "so-and-so should not be taken".
That does not mean "Locker is better than every other QB out there".
I said what Mayock said was interesting. I said it may possibly mean one of Locker's issues may be partially fixable. That is all. I did not even mention what I would do. What I would do, given my gigantic ignorance in all things draft, is burn a [nonexistent] 3rd rounder on him in a hypothetical world.

Umm, I'm all for trading out of the #10 pick in order to pick up more picks since we can use all the picks we can get, but.... I find it interesting how no matter where we are in the draft people have the oppinion that there is no draftee worth taking at any given spot. Unless of course it's in the 3rd round or beyond. In any event I'd rather see the Skins take Ponder or Dalton in later rounds at this point.

I posted this in another thread but here you go with questions of Newton's accuracy.
Cam Newton Stats: 188.2 QB Rating, 2589 yds, 28 TD, 6 INT, 65.2 cmp%. With a passer rating of just .6 behind the nation's best. I want a pass rushing freak, but won't be terribly upset with a pick of Cam.
