I beleive i was watching the NFL total access I forget who they were interviewing, they asked the player about such & such player he stated he was a good player could help his team. A few hours later he was quoted on several news stations that the player wanted such & such on his team. I might still have the show I DVR them I'll get back to you if I can get more precise.

It's the wording of the title that's misleading.

"Cooley: Burress could go from prison to Redskins' roster" implies that at some point Cooley said he wanted Burress on the team. He didn't. He said we needed a playmaker at wide receiver. Now even though the question was specifically about Plax, Cooley was actually careful to not say something that would basically be him endorsing Plax.

Saying "if you're going to take a risk on a good player, he'd be the player to take a risk on" is not the same as Cooley saying Plax could end up with the Redskins. At all.

Well, if this is true don't expect to see TO signing with anyone anytime soon.

Well the last tackling machine we signed from Buffalo worked out so might as well give it another shot.

For teams in need of inside linebacker help, Paul Posluszny is an intriguing possibility, as the impending free agent has experience in both the 3-4 and 4-3 alignments. Thus far this offseason, he's been linked most strongly to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Washington Redskins, though there are a number of other teams in the market for the help he can provide.

In the end, however, all of this speculation may be moot, as Pro Football Weekly has reported that the Buffalo Bills will make re-signing Posluszny a priority.

Furthermore, the site notes, a daily team observer has indicated that the blue-collar sensibilities of the city are a good match for Posluszny, and this may play a role in his sticking around.
