Stifling States of America: Heat Wave!Hog1 08-02-2011, 11:25 AM BUT......it's a nice dry heat right? So it's really pretty cool? mredskins 08-02-2011, 11:35 AM I am scared of my BGE bill for July, very scared. Shockingly only $40 more then June's bill. RedskinRat 08-02-2011, 11:40 AM BUT......it's a nice dry heat right? So it's really pretty cool? We had a rain storm just last night, now it's nice and moist, comparatively speaking. Arrid as a dessicated Triscuit...... firstdown 08-02-2011, 11:42 AM I had to check but my July bill was only about $27 more then last month. I have no clue what we even pay for the house. over the mountain 08-02-2011, 12:06 PM How the hell have you been driving to work for 2 yrs without AC? Have you tried charging the system with one of those kits you buy at an auto parts store? They only cost like $25 well worth the money to give it a try. If its leaking they make something you can run through the system that will stop small leaks. yeah they did the leak test a year or so ago, my trusted family friend mechanic said i would need to replace the entire AC unit at about 2.5k. thats not happening. Did anyone else get stuck in teh hail storm that came tearing through yesterday around 5:30 ish? I have 2 cracks in my windshield about 3 feet long each so i was scared my windshield was gonna bust open, hail the size of golf balls came thundering down. I was right on the 495 onto 95 N area going to baltimore. Luckily I was able to find a spot behind some other cars underneath an overpass so the front half of my car was kinda protected. Seconds later, the entire highway was stopped with people taking cover under the underpass, we squezzed in there, cars and vans were inchs away from each other. this ahole armored truck started blaring his horn b/c every lane was stopped under the underpass with cars trying to take shelter. after about 10 mins, it cleared up to bright blue skies and traffic was very light all the way home. over the mountain 08-02-2011, 12:07 PM 110f when I left work last Thursday, cell phone pic to prove it. I'd take the humid heat in DC over the dry desert heat of the Mojave if I had Skins season tickets. I may need to apply for a transfer.... hooskins 08-02-2011, 01:36 PM The gameday experience at FedEX really isn't worth season tickets. GMScud 08-02-2011, 02:03 PM The gameday experience at FedEX really isn't worth season tickets.
