The Chief looked like crap against the same Ravens we played well against.
Eh. Preseason. NE looked like crap last night. I don't think anyone is worried about them.
That said, I think losing Charlie Weis to the Gators hurts the Chief's offense. He had great rapport with Matt Cassell.

Chiefs have a hungry young talent. As long Cassell has Charles and Bowe he will be fine.

The Pats tend to take the preseason very seriously so I wouldn't simply chalk this up to the "pre-season" syndrome.I agree that the Pats take preseason much more seriously than most contenders, and that they often run up the score in preseason games. I don't take this beating as an indication of New England suddenly on their way down. I believe it's an indication of how solid the Lions might be. They have studs on both sides of the ball.

If Stafford stays healthy I could see the Lions being competitive. That's a big if though, believe it when I see it.
Agreed ,IMO once a shoulder goes bad it hard to fix.Su needs to watch out he's good ,very good but if he keeps throwing people down he's gone be tagged a "dirty player".

I'm actually a fan of the patriots organization, they win win win and build their teams through the draft. Mad respect for them

I agree with you, they have built their team in the right way. When you do and are patient you reap the rewards.
Wouldn't get too worked up about this game. The Patriots will be fine and I fully expect Detroit to do well this year. They are also doing some good things and are building in the right direction.

Wow, Brian Leftwich breaks his arm. Ouch. Steelers have two other QB's in Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch.
The guy that last month tells me he wanted the lockout to continue and gets paid to play, not practice.. still sucks though

It may be too late.
He is great.
As far as this game goes. I will say one thing. It was preseason. If this was the regular season there would have been more than a handful of players for the Pats that would have played. This game would have been very different.
If the Lions stay healthy, then they may have a good team. That game was not as telling as it appeared.

I'm assuming this is the week 3 nfl preseason thread. Thats why I'm putting up this ex-redskin connection here.
