Trample the Elderly 07-21-2010, 11:19 AM No Angels was a great book I thought so too. Jay Doybns AKA "Bird" was interviewed on Coast to Coast a few months back. SBXVII 07-21-2010, 09:39 PM No Angels was a great book This is great to hear. I picked up several books a couple of months ago and this was one of them I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I'm usually more of a Science Fiction/ Fantasy book reader. I sometimes have 2 or 3 books I will read at the same time like I started "The Ghost King" by R.A. Salvatore in order to finish out the series, but I started the submarine book. I have "No Angle" to read and a second part to a zombie series I read The morningstar strain "Thunder and Ashes" by Z.A. Recht. I've read a couple of other books of undercover agents who infiltrated the biker gangs and I love reading them. SBXVII 07-21-2010, 09:48 PM "Under and Alone, The true story of an undercover agent who infiltrated America's most violent outlaw motorcycle gang" by William Queen is awsome also. Perhaps this was the only other. I thought there was another but I may be wrong. This one was awsome though. 12thMan 07-22-2010, 12:41 PM Just started "The Girl With Dragon Tatoo". One of a three part series written by Stieg Larsson who is now deceased. I'll give a recap when I'm done. mredskins 07-22-2010, 01:03 PM Just started "The Girl With Dragon Tatoo". Movie is probably one of the best adaptions I have ever seen it was near flawless. 12thMan 07-22-2010, 01:08 PM Read and saw the movie both are excellent. Movie is probably one of the best adaptions I have ever seen it was near flawless. That's what I hear. I nearly saw it before I picked up the book. I hear "The Girl That Played With Fire" is now out in theaters. mredskins 07-22-2010, 01:17 PM That's what I hear. I nearly saw it before I picked up the book. If I dear say depending on your level of reading or speed of reading if you will; watch the movie it will save you the time of reading the book and you will have lost nothing in the story. I can't think off the top of my head any other movie/book combo that I have ever said that for. Oh and the movie is sub-title so you are kind of reading it! Unless of course you speak Swedish fluently. Mechanix544 07-22-2010, 01:21 PM Currently reading "Nathan Bedford Forrest - A Biography." Great book about a troubled overachieving warrior. He rose from Private to 4 star general, the highest ascention in all of American History. And was a tactical cavalry genius. Very interesting read for you history (civil war and military) buffs. |
