I don't care what Hank needed as long as it heals properly.
and I'm glad they got Montgomery locked up, starter or backup he can still contribute to the team.

I googled "hip surgery recovery NFL", and came up with below. Not sure if they had torn labrums..
1) Aaron Hernandez (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81e67db7/article/patriots-te-hernandez-healing-after-hip-surgery) hip surgery 2/2011 - 79 catches 910yds in 2011
2) Eddie Royal (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81e324f9/article/broncos-confirm-wr-royal-underwent-hip-surgery) hip surgery 2/2011 - was fine in 2011, numbers down from Tebowmania
Hope Hank recovers well for a good sophomore season, we need good WRs and haven't had a good tall one in years.

Not good on Hank. Obvious setback. Interesting to see how he responds and how the hip may impact his speed.
Pencil in Monty at center, not bad to be set there. Lets see how the rest of the Oline falls in.
Was he all that fast anyway? I thought that was why Paul and Robertson was brought in, for speed. Hank was the big possession WR we needed. The big question will be how will it effect him off the LOS and the jam?
My question is why wasn't this done a month after he got the injury? I'm thinking all along he did and that he was almost done with recovery and would be ready 100% come camp.

I wouldn't want him anyway. Isn't he like 46 by now? Young FA, not decrepit ones...
