Madden '13 player ratings

This is the first year in a long while the game feels "new".

Thumbs up.

I liked the demo. The coaches look pretty funny. It's like the take a player's body and stick an old coaches head. LOL. Game looks good though, loved the Skins' throwback unis. Kerrigan is a beast and it was nice using Jenkins in the middle. Running game was okay, passing game just about the same as '12 I feel. RG3 is awesome. I also played with the G-men against the 49ers. Patrick Willis is a tackling machine.

Only downside for me was no Gus Johnson.

I'm with you, I'm not a big Jim Nance/Phil Simms fan. I feel like Nance should be in the tower on 18 at Augusta National. Maybe I not a CBS fan because most of the Skins games are on FOX. eitherway, I just like Gus Johnson's over the top enthusiasm better.

They have to fix the coaches' bodies! Pete Carroll looks like a body builder. No way is he that big in real life. Is Pete Carroll the coach of the Seahawks, or is that Ed Hochuli's new job!

I thought Gus Johnson was horrible. His reactions were way over the top and often didn't fit the situation. I don't think it was his fault, I like him doing live games, but he just didn't work in a video game IMO.

Aren't our throwback helmet's a matte finish? That reflection bothers me... other than that, not really seeing anything revolutionary on the demo. I do prefer this years commentary, but time will tell how repetitive it gets.

i really miss madden commentary. can't they have him record every possible syllable/sound and let the computer do the rest? even if the cadence sounded like my gps or like siri, i would dig it if it was madden's voice

I played the demo today and I can say that RG3 is the truth. I found myself shocked at the throws I can make now. The speed of the game reminds me of '04, I actually like it. The Right Analog kicking ala Swinging your club in Tiger Woods makes it more difficult to kick because you can throw your kick off with a shaky thumb. I'm going to enjoy Madden and our D is legit!
