Goonies came out when I was about the same age as the characters in the film. It was like Spielberg had open up my mind and read my imagination and brought it to life. So many times growing up my buddies and me would go on pretend adventures like that searching for treasure or what not. I can remember still going to see that movie with my buddy Josh and my dad on a rainy Sunday afternoon and just coming out blown away. I also remember going to see Top Gun and when we got there we found out that before Top Gun there was a free showing of a film called Ferris Bueller's Day Off. WOW! Two classic movies seen for the first time in the same night! Just crazy.
