itvnetop 08-17-2012, 07:37 PM nobody with a healthy mind would remotley find that film entertaining.
.
Hmmm, happy to fail your scientifically measured correlation between a "healthy mind" and film taste. The fact you haven't even seen it yet precludes you from any type of judgment, whatsoever.
Please, go on... your moral high ground is a place I really aspire to climb.
(You also may want to re-assess your spoiler, which was obviously intentional. It's not your call to judge what should and shouldn't be left for movie viewers to know beforehand.)
itvnetop 08-17-2012, 07:42 PM I don't think that completely a reason to disrespect someone.
edit: Oh yeah, and Oldboy. Wanna be shocked. Watch Oldboy. Koreans are crazy man. But its probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. With a twist!
Thank you Dynamite... I thought it was just me, alone with my unhealthy mind.
And I wonder what mredskins thinks of Irreversible. The hallway scene is much, much worse than the scene he's talking about. But there's no way to dispute the fact that Gaspar Noe is considered an adept film-maker by many.
And totally co-sign on Oldboy. I was pissed that there was going to be a remake, but I'm actually interested now that Spike Lee and Elizabeth Olsen are on board.

I apologize if i offend you i still respect you as a person not as a movie critic. I am sorry but that film is beyond disgusting there are just lines you don't cross; IMO.
You can get pissy with me for not liking that film but you are going to have a hard time getting others to agree with that film is anything but complete garbage.
Also i believe you have a health mind that was uncalled for; sorry. That film just really really rubs me the wrong way and i love the horror genr.

Point taken and thanks for the apology. And I've got no problem whatsoever with people hating or being offended by a film. I only took umbrage with the aforementioned correlation.

CultBrennan59 08-18-2012, 12:36 AM Pulp Fiction is and always will be my favorite of all time
40 year old virgin
Step Brothers
Bad Santa
Batman Trilogy
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Superbad
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Collateral
Wedding Crashers
Die Hards
I Love You, Man
Terminator 2
Bourne movies (not the new one though)
I'll also say that IMDB.com has a top 250 list of their 'best' all time movies. This past summer I watched movies that I hadn't seen before that people say 'Oh C'mon How have you NOT seen that?!?' and I've watched almost all of the top 100 and I must say the best ones that I recommend are;
- Beverly Hills Cop
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off
- Speed
- The Prestige
- Green Mile
- Good, Bad, and the Ugly
- Full Metal Jacket
I DONT recommend (thats on that list)
- Natural Born Killers
- Deer Hunter
- Children of Men
- City of God (or atleast its not the 20th best movie of all time)
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- A Clockwork Orange
- Lock Stock and two smoking barrels

Bad Santa is such a good movie...the Good, Bad and Ugly is like on my runners up list, very solid...City of God is incredible, the storytelling is brilliant, simply an amazing movie. loved every minute of it, probably in my top 5. When I give suggestions on movies people probably havent seen, ill mention City of God. Ill agree on Lock Stock and Deer Hunter, overrated. See Snatch over Lock Stock, Guy's second effort is a classic.
