There's just subtle adjustments that have to made to compensate for the lack of hearing. Still, Reed deserves props for being able to overcome it. Count me in amongst one of the Doughty supporters, I think we could do far worse for a backup. You think the defense can hear anything with 90,000 screaming fans? No. They use hand signals and so does the offense (on the road at least) when they audible out. Ok well he has an advantage over other players and still sucks, get him off the team Dude, he's a back up. Back ups generally suck in comparison to starters. Smith ended up being a disappointment after flashing a little tiny bit of promise last year. I'm disappointed. Are we going to even be able to field competent back-ups at this point or are we waiting to jump on other team's cuts?
