If you listen to it, its obvious he was uncomfortable talking about it. Maybe he broke someones confidence and is trying to do damage control. I think Gano was cut because he's too damn inconsistent and if he could be replaced by somebody equal that Mike liked, he would be. Now, maybe Mike disliked Gano on a personal level due to him being a preachy/openly religious. I can buy that.
