I've said it before and i'll stick with it again; Heat will lose a total of 3 games in the playoffs. They've lost 1 already. I say they lose 1 to the pacers and 1 to the spurs.
I would love to see the grizzlies upset the spurs but I don't see it.

2013 NBA draft -- Cleveland Cavaliers win NBA draft lottery; Orlando Magic get 2nd pick - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2013/story/_/id/9299841/2013-nba-draft-cleveland-cavaliers-win-nba-draft-lottery-orlando-magic-get-2nd-pick)
They really need to get rid of this stupid lottery system. It's broken and it doesn't help the teams at the bottom. It's all built on chance and that's not a good system to get the worse teams better. There is no reason the Bobcats shouldn't be selecting #1 the past few years. Absolutely stupid.
You guys speak of NBA sucking....well it does. Beyond the playoffs, the NBA is rather boring for the most part. They don't do enough to keep stars in small markets, they want 4-5 select teams to stay on top the majority of the time. They really need to fix it.

It all came to be because the San Antonio Spurs tanked and lost games on purpose to get Tim Duncan. Stupid as it maybe, it kept teams from tanking their seasons. Luckily I don't like the NBA enough to care, but if the NFL ever went to this system I would be pissed.

How'd you come up with that theory?

The lottery system was already in place when the Spurs picked. The Celtics had the worst record the year that Duncan came out, and the Spurs had the third worst record in the NBA.

Thank you for correcting his ignorance on the subject. The lottery has been around in the NBA for a long time. In fact, the first one was in 1985 and New York won the right to select Patrick Ewing. Granted, that old system was much worse than the one now. That said, it's STILL a horrible system for the NBA.

before the lottery, that was a pretty prevalent theory...people tanking to get the best player. Basketball adds 1, maybe 2 true impact players a year. Why did they start the lottery, too shake it up?
