Around the NFL ... Week 13 edition

Ross Tucker was talking about this hit this morning on Sirius and made, what I thought, were two good points:

1) suspension/fines have to be based on intent/action, not on what the opponent's condition is, because a legal hit can often have be just as damaging- he expressed it more clearly

2) Jared Allen may not really have ever had the new rules clearly explained - certainly they wouldn't have drilled the new rules in, simply because his position group rarely deals with that specific style occurrence. How many times do defensive lines practice INT return drills?1) ok ,I'll by into that.

2) BS,every practice there is an interdeption he should be doing it.The intent was to cause injury,there was no need to" Launch"into the man.

I have him as a SS in the NFL, and yes he made a mistake. Shit happens. The kid can play. Simple as that, if you don't wanna take a 3rd/4th round "gamble" that is fine, but players in the NFL have done much worse and weren't crucified for it. So why are we throwing stones at Mathieu?

Did you watch that game that Thanksgiving night? They deserved that trash talk from the fans after that display. No sense in grown men being paid vast sums of money performing like that. None. They owe fans their money back after putting that type of performance up.
