He's got a drinking problem. I wouldn't throw the book at him but he absolutely needs to be REQUIRED to be in rehab.

In years past, this would be a "trap game" where we played down to the level of the opponent. I shouldnt even say years past, becuase we played down to Carolina and lost to them. Good teams beat up the bad teams. Cleaveland and Philly arent horrible, but they arent good either. If we are a good team, we'll beat both of them fairly easily. And then we can all have a few more drinks without driving. firstdown 12-12-2012, 05:15 PM lets hope so, he deserves a 3rd shot. After all we are not perfect, we all make these type of mistakes. Maybe next time its one of your family members or me, he gets a do over cause its his bestie. It makes sense. I don't have a problem with them throwing the book at him for his third DUI I have a problem with them charging him with killing Brown. He got in the car on his own knowing Brent had been drinking and was drunk. That's what I have a problem with. DynamiteRave 12-12-2012, 05:22 PM I don't have a problem with them throwing the book at him for his third DUI I have a problem with them charging him with killing Brown. He got in the car on his own knowing Brent had been drinking and was drunk. That's what I have a problem with. Its involuntary manslaughter, not murder. So that's a lesser charge. Someone died, there has to be a charge for that. You can't pick and choose what to charge someone for. Everyone knows the risks of getting into a car with a drunk driver. Brown paid the ultimate price for his decision. Brent needs to pay his. Btw, that doesn't mean lock him up forever, or maybe not even locking him up at all, but someone died that night, there has to be some sort of punishment for that. Plenty of people die accidentally everyday. This case is no different. BigHairedAristocrat 12-12-2012, 05:28 PM Everything i highlighted is bullsh*t. ive never read more bs in my life. Please just continue. Ive worked in the court system for about 4 years. I have family members working with CAs. Every word in your post was bs, which is why i posted that. I think you realize i was being sarcastic and pointing out the sheer stupidity of your assertion that someone who commits intoxicated manslaughter should be in prision for life. BigHairedAristocrat 12-12-2012, 05:29 PM Wrong thread lol? yup, sorry about that. redskins5044 12-12-2012, 05:37 PM http://aol.sportingnews.com/sport/story/2012-10-23/athletes-dui-2012-driving-under-influence-carlton-fisk-michael-turner/slide/18 A lot of athletes have drinking problems, and it is a major issue in the NFL. I will almost guarantee that soon in the NFL if a player is arrested for DUI there will be suspensions. Chico23231 12-12-2012, 06:25 PM Every word in your post was bs, which is why i posted that. I would not expect any less out of them. Hell, college kids don't have any money and they drink all the time. As they get older like most kids they will grow out of it. |
