Vick completed a season in which he had a 100.0 passer rating 2 years ago. I'm hoping that his skills aren't starting to erode. He's certainly a player of value playing for a bad team. Once he moves on to his third NFL team, he might start playing better again.

teams who want to fill their stadium will give him a chance. Sleeper team is Oakland imo

i think that season may prove an outlier. I don't think he's terrible, but i don't think he's ever been nearly as game changing as all the hype.

atlanta season tickets went up over 25,000 seats after he was drafted though. so atlanta didn't make any kind of mistake in drafting him.

id get rid of rexy and put him in the backfield with RGthiz-erd, let them run the option together. vick can still move with the best of them.

Stud in Atlanta? Phenomenal? Sure, he was a stud at running the ball, but he was a absolute failure as a #1 QB. He couldn't touch Randall Cunningham's jock as a QB.

Let me ask you, are these the stats you expect to see from a guy being drafted #1 coming out of college to be your QB?

181 attempts
2065 yards
13 TDs
5 Ints

Had you told me the Redskins were going to draft a QB in the first round with these type of college stats I would drive to Landover and kick whoever drafted that person in the balls.

Vick was good at "making ESPN highlights" and "selling jerseys". His entire career in Atlanta, he surpassed 2,500 yards passing ONE time. Once and even then he didn't even manage 3,000 yards.

62,81,69,78,73,75

The above numbers are his QB rating numbers in Atlanta. Stud to you? Phenomenal? No, he was a flat out bust as a QB.

44,54,50,56,55,52

His completion percentage numbers above from his time in Atlanta. Stud? Phenomenal?

Vick was the best in the NFL at "making plays", but making plays doesn't win champsionships. Running the offense does. (These were the quote words used by Steve Young, but in reference to McNabb. Vick fits just as easily in this quote)

Much like Lohmiller, people's revision on Vick's history as a QB in Atlanta is much different than reality.

Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints agree to five-year contract extension, according to source - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8788618/sean-payton-new-orleans-saints-agree-five-year-contract-extension-according-source)

Looks like Jerrah is getting screwed a couple times this weekend.

Get suspended for a year, lose your team draft picks and end up rewarded with a brand new 5 year deal. MURICA!!!

Newtown Tragedy: At Sunday's game against the Eagles, the Giants will host about 400 people from the Sandy Hook section of Newtown who were directly affected by the school shooting tragedy. - Courant.com (http://www.courant.com/sports/football/giants/hc-giants-newtown-1229-20121228,0,7871111.story)

Staff ReportThe Hartford Courant6:48 p.m. EST, December 28, 2012

The New York Giants (http://www.courant.com/topic/sports/football/new-york-giants-ORSPT000197.topic) will host more than 400 members of the Sandy Hook community directly affected by the tragic shooting of Dec. 14 on Sunday during the team's regular-season finale vs. the Philadelphia Eagles (http://www.courant.com/topic/sports/football/philadelphia-eagles-ORSPT000211.topic) at MetLife Stadium (http://www.courant.com/topic/sports/football/metlife-stadium-PLREC000191.topic), the NFL (http://www.courant.com/topic/sports/football/national-football-league-ORSPT000007.topic) team announced.
The Giants announced details in a press release Friday afternoon, saying they were expecting a at least 200 students and 200 parents, faculty and family members to attend. They will be escorted onto the field by 50 members of the Wounded Warriors veterans group, participate in a pregame ceremony and then watch the 1 p.m. game.
On the field, the group from Sandy Hook and the Wounded Warriors will form two lanes — one for each team — and the players will run through the lanes onto the field, the release said. Then the players, coaches, Sandy Hook residents and Wounded Warriors will form a circle for a moment of silence and the national anthem. The Giants are also providing bus transportation for the Newtown group
