Darrelle Revis Contract, Salaries, and Transactions (http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/darrelle-revis/)

man the internet is amazing about how easy it is to find most pieces of information:
Revis: Base........... Signing....Misc Bonus....Total cap hit
2010 ..7,500,000...783,416....538,000........8,821,416
2011 ..6,000,000...783,416....4,000,000.... 10,783,416
2012 ..4,500,000...783,416....6,220,205.... 11,503,621
2013 ..3,000,000...-..............6,000,000.... 9,000,000
2014 ..3,000,000...-..............3,000,000.... 6,000,000
2015 ..3,000,000...-..............3,000,000.... 6,000,000
2016 ..3,000,000...-..............3,000,000 .... 6,000,000

Wilson:
2011.. 2,000,000... 1,333,333.... -.............. 3,333,333
2012.. 3,400,000... 1,333,333.... 100,000.... 4,833,333
2013.. 3,900,000... 1,333,333.... 100,000.... 5,333,333

It looks like the Jets will be paying him 9M this year not 6. That said I will say this, although I don't see us pursuing Revis, if we were able to pull off a reverse Champ Bailey trade, I would be ok that with that. Problem is I wouldn't know until my hindsight vision kicks in.

You seriously think Revis would take the field in 15 and 16 for 6 million? not gonna happen

So you would not trade for Fitzgerald, Ngata, Graham, Gronk, Jahri Evans, Patrick Peterson, AJ Green, Geno Atkins, Daryl Washington, Kam Chancellor, Calais Campbell, Julio Jones, Joe Thomas, Vince Wilfork, Ray Rice or D'Qwell Jackson?

I just want to make sure I understand which superstar players that the Redskins would never get you would be willing to trade for.

I see risks to a lot of those players. Minor risks, but even a minor risk that I've had before has backfired on either us or other teams. Like Albert Haynesworth or Nnamdi. Nnamdi especially, thats a guy who everyone in the league regarded as the 2nd best CB, then he changed defenses and it all went down hill from their. My list of guys are guys that no matter the scheme, are 0 risk players in my opinion.

On your list I'll go in order:
Fitz- too old now, too much to give up anyway
Ngata- Maybe, he could also be good because of the ravens defense ie, Suggs, Reed, Lewis is my minor concern
Graham and Gronk- Thought about them, but they both have been injury prone of late. Graham I'd give the slight edge too, but he can't block that great.
Jahri Evans, Geno Atkins, Joe Thomas--don't fit our scheme on offense. Nor does Geno on a 3-4 defense, at least I don't think so, therefore its a risk I'm not willing to take, see haynesworth.
Wilfork--If it were 2 years ago yes, but now no
Ray Rice--He'd be pricey, the ravens wouldn't trade him, and running backs like him are a lot easier to find, than a RB like Peterson.
Patrick Peterson-- I've seen enough potential with him to say he'd be good in any scheme, and if you read my previous post his name is included...
Daryl Washington, Calais Campbell--They run a 3-4 but it is supposedly different than our 3-4. I want to see more than just 1 good year from DW to say definite yes or nos. He joins the maybe crowd with Ngata. Calais, he's good, but he takes off plays a lot too. Would he do that here or stay the same? Questions, little ones, that make you question a big trade like him.
Chancellor-- I question some of his man coverage ability. I really think that he is being covered up by Earl Thomas and the 2 CBs, which is whats making him look great. Is he a great safety? sure. But would I give up a lot for him as opposed to drafting someone? No.
DQwell--No, he too is injury prone.
Julio--No he, like Garcon, can't stay healthy
AJ Green-- Yes I would trade for him, doubt that Cincy trades him though since he's their best player (I put Calvin on my list, because if Detroit keeps sucking they maybe forced to trade him for lots of picks and players down the road)

Those are his current contract amounts. I wasn't saying that he would or wouldn't play for that amount, only that that is what any team that trades for him would take on, and why BHA's singling out of 2013 as a comparison between Revis and Wilson was missing perspective.

The contract is voided after 2014. The deal was set up like that for aesthetic purposes. It basically was a 4 year deal. The deal also includes a clause that they Jets cannot use the franchise tag on him at the end of the contract. (in 2014)

No way. Jets would want a 2nd and 3rd at least.

Peter King says they want a 1st for Revis.

According to Oprah Florio, Rex doesn't want to trade him at all.

I was just saying all stars, that just like you listed will never be traded. 49ers will not part ways with either of their all star linebackers, Texans won't ever trade Watt, Johnson, and Peterson just signed extensions, I am just stating players that won't leave just like you said. Almost all are either below 30 or at 30. Which by the way would make them older than Fitzgerald (Ware and Wake). The list you created are players that their teams will not be dumb enough to let go.

The NFL is a funny business, so any trade is possible and any move is possible. Your always going to have exceptions to your own rules of players. Wake maybe 30, but he's been in the league for 3 years. Ware is still a beast and the same player he's been for the past 8+ years. Fitz I've noticed his speed has declined over the years. As I stated in the first post, these are the only players id consider trading for, assuming the other team would consider trading them. Obviously 90% of those players will probably never be traded, but if any of those players would be traded I would definitely give up picks or players not named robert griffin for them.

I could see it. Remember tho' we gave up Champ and a 2nd, so a Champ type deal would be something akin to Morris for Revis and the Jets give us a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

He wants a 100 million contract, let him have it somewhere else.
