Did the Patriots know this about Hernandez and got Tebow to be a TE? Yes, my conspiracy theory was correct.

I would link to this if I could, but I read somewhere that said it was Hernandez's friend that was killed. If that's the case, I don't expect Hernandez to be charged with anything serious. He's probably being uncooperative because he doesn't want to be considered a snitch.

I'm no law expert, but I'm pretty sure you can go to jail for withholding information to police when they know you're a suspect/linked to the case in a major way (ie having a car used in the crime, thats under your name)

^^ Ummm, yeah. It's called obstruction of justice or (more serious) accessory after the fact.

At the same time, you are free to exercise your 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination ... right after the cops get your fingerprints and DNA swab.

I will defer to your opinion on this but in regards to my original post I meant a charge that would be likely to bring down his NFL career. He might get charged with a crime, but that doesn't mean it would ruin his career. I mean if Vick can get charged with killing dogs and spend 2 years in prison and still resume his career when he gets out, I don't see this resulting in anything that would amount to a lifetime ban from the NFL. Even if he did get convicted of obstruction of justice I still don't see the punishment ruining his career. Only way I see this ruining his career is if he actually did the deed, or assisted in some way that would make his prison sentence 10+ years. That's the point I was trying to get at without spending too much time on the subject.
