NC_Skins 10-07-2013, 12:09 PM Romo forced the throw into traffic with a wide open checkdown guy sitting right there in front of his face. I don't know how it can be seen as anything other than a mistake on his part.
We'll agree to disagree. The player was open when the ball was released. That's just a spectacular play by the defender. Nine out of ten times that pass is caught by Escobar. In hindsight, sure the RB should have been the guy he went to. Sometimes, you can do the right thing and the opposing player just makes a better play. Point in instance is the TD catch over Claiborne. Dude had fantastic coverage on the WR, and simply couldn't play it any better. Another one is Sherman's interception of Kaep.

If RGIII had done this, nobody would be saying a peep about it.

To me the better choice was the easier throw, which was his checkdown. Especially considering the situation there was just no need for him to take an unnecessary risk and throw into a tight window.
If RGIII did the same thing I might be inclined to give him a pass since he doesn't have nearly the same experience that Romo does at this point.

Well Romo's past makes this an even bigger deal. Just like how Matt Schaub is going to be haunted by his multiple pick-6s.

skinsfaninok 10-07-2013, 12:22 PM Vick out vs tampa
CRedskinsRule 10-07-2013, 12:39 PM Vick missing games. Romo throwing an INT when the game is on the line. These are staples of the Eagles and Dallas teams the last few years. I know we haven't put it all together this season, but yesterday's performance from the rest of the NFC East makes me believe the Skins still have the best shot at the the title. Why, because we have seen this same cast of Skins beat the rest of the division. Yes, the Skins have to get their ship in order, but the rest of the division is the same as it has been. And the Skins last year showed the ability to beat them.

Actually, evolution of a drunken, idiotic bandwagon fan.
don't count out nick foles just yet ... plenty of serviceable weapons on that team... if they run the ball more and use more screens (as I assume they will) to slow down pressure on foles... they could still put up enough points to win games against some teams, especially tampa IMO .. the kid was good at Arizona, and is still learning the speed of the game.. his arm strength is scary and those recievers can get open, so I wouldn't count 'em out just yet.
