If this is how Gruden would handle our team, he can stay in the broadcast booth.
Gruden Says Start CousinsMonkeydad 12-02-2013, 10:54 AM If this is how Gruden would handle our team, he can stay in the broadcast booth. skinsguy 12-02-2013, 10:56 AM If this is how Gruden would handle our team, he can stay in the broadcast booth. Exactly! I don't want Jon Gruden anywhere near this team. It's a mistake to want him over Mike Shanahan. skinsfaninok 12-02-2013, 11:08 AM It's obvious that RG3 is solo out there, the fact that he hasn't thrown a bitch fit like Cutler Or Rivers is really great to see SBXVII 12-02-2013, 01:14 PM Well, lets say MShanahan and Company get canned after this season. D.Snyder picks another HC or lets the new GM pick the next HC.... I'd like to know that our new HC has the authority and availability to pick whichever QB fits best into his system. If it's RG3 then awesome, if it's Cousins then awesome. But I'd hate to see the new HC being forced to play RG3 just because he's RG3 or because we paid so much to get him and the team either benches the better player for the system or trades him away. < That would be disastrous. SBXVII 12-02-2013, 01:24 PM It's obvious that RG3 is solo out there, the fact that he hasn't thrown a bitch fit like Cutler Or Rivers is really great to see Yeah he's definitely alone out there.... not running as fast as last year due to the knee brace over throwing his WR's throwing late and behind his WR's. holding the ball too long. all those issue's are on him no doubt about it. NOT saying there are not other issue's like dropped balls from the WR's or OL not blocking well enough. I'm just afraid they might be trying to force a round peg into a square hole. It would be nice if we could mold the round peg to fit the square hole if need be. SBXVII 12-02-2013, 01:35 PM Exactly! I don't want Jon Gruden anywhere near this team. It's a mistake to want him over Mike Shanahan. Yep, mistake that he took the Raiders to a SB, then a mistake he went to a totally different team with a totally different QB and took them to a SB. I preferred him over MS, but ... we got MS. I didn't complain, MS had a pretty good record also. The key is there really is no good answer. Look at Coughlin, making him a HC was questionable at best but he panned out for the Giants. Look at the Chiefs, everyone said Reid was washed up ( I would love to have had him), but his team is winning. Look at Denver, I never would have figured Jon Fox to fix his old looking antiquated system, but the Bronco's look good. So I wouldn't completely pass on Gruden. Plus he's had a chance to see what teams around the league and what works and doesn't work. skinsfan69 12-02-2013, 02:08 PM Exactly! I don't want Jon Gruden anywhere near this team. It's a mistake to want him over Mike Shanahan. Mike Shanahan should be fired. More importantly, he deserves to be fired. I'm not sure Gruden is the right guy for this job, that's for Snyder to figure out, but I do know we won't be running the triple option if he is the coach. When did Gruden take the Raiders to the Super Bowl? skinsfan69 12-02-2013, 02:28 PM He didn't take Oakland to the SB but that was his team. That was his offense. He made Rich Gannon into a star. Made Brad Johnson into a SB QB. If I'm Dan Snyder, Jon Gruden is the first person that I'm getting on the phone. I think he's just what this team needs. |
