I'm not sure about this but wouldn't the team that cuts them be responsible for paying them any guaranteed money? I think the Skins would be able to pay them vet minimum which would be no problem as far as the cap is concerned. But, as I said, I'm not sure about that.
You are correct. Cut is cut. And most folks will be desperate for a job and will come cheap. I'm hoping that we can grab a very capable safety or tackle for a cheap, short-term rental.

The guaranteed money, as in signing bonus money, will be paid by the team that cuts them. However, if a team picks up a vet they assume their contract.... unless the player clears waivers. The good ones will not clear waivers .

<snip>I'm wondering if they will keep 3 QB's. I'm thinking they might keep another safety instead. Trenton Robinson would be good to keep because he's good on ST. We need to get better on ST this year.<snip>
In case you haven't see Keim's latest roster projections (http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/9579/washington-redskins-projected-roster-4), he agrees with this in part. He has Trenton Robinson making the team as a 5th safety, but at the expense of Chris Thompson instead of the 3rd QB. At this point, I really couldn't make a good argument for keeping CT over Akeem Davis or Robinson. I love me some Thompson, but if he can't stay healthy, what's the point?
