it's the day before the season opener

if you can't get all ginned up and hopeful for the season at this time then what's the point?

preseason means nothing. almost half the playoff teams from last year won't make it this year. if the NFL was so predictable, especially prior to week 1, it wouldn't be so popular; it'd be boring.

I honestly think he will struggle early on this season but gain momentum as the season (and his confidence) progresses.

I would be happy if he would just Russell it all season long. Throw 20-25 mostly short passes a game and use the receivers' speed to pick up yards after the catch. Limit the shots downfield until/unless he really starts rolling. Let Alfred be the man this year. He's not merely a solid back like a certain clown says here (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000389281/article/adrian-peterson-headlines-top-20-running-backs), he's a guy that can carry the offense.
