I know the whole 'ifs and buts' thing but 2 turnovers inside the 10 yard line, a blown coverage and a blocked punt for a TD are the story of this loss, not RG3 holding the ball too long. People latch to a narrative and refuse to let it go in the face of reality.
If the 2nd half RG3 is who shows up every Sunday, I think there will be more smiles than whining around here. We also don't play JJ freaking Watt every week. Dude is only the best defensive player in the league so if he dominates Tyler Polumbus then you just take that for what it is.
It's 0-1, not 0-16. Live to play another week.
Very true, the frustration is same problems from last year showing up first game. We brought players and coaches to change that, we still see the same shit. I completely understand everyone frustrations.
If I could tell gruden one thing after that game, it would be run the damn ball

6 points against Houston, what 2-14 last year, is a major fucking problem. Their d ain't that great

They were short passes because that's what Houston was giving us. One big positive is Gruden made good halftime adjustments and that's why we saw a more productive offense in that half.
That 9.2 per doesn't count, incompletions, sacks, or other broken pass plays. It is not that good.

It is very hard to overcome a negative 2-3 in turnover ration in any game, with a blocked punt for a TD to boot. If say by weeks 3-4 wee haven't scored at least 21 in a game then we might have to worry a bit. This is RG III's make or break year in my opinion. He is either going to prove he was worth it or he is going to go the way of Shuler by sometime in 2015. We gave up a lot for him. To be honest we really needed some first round pics to get a solid line going. I sure hope we use our #1 for any position on the o line. Having a bunch of retreads isn't going to help your QB much.

Couldnt agree more. Cannot believe people are pointing to his comp %. Who gives a crap if he hit on every 5 yard screen pass. If you cant complete those you should not be in the league let alone starting. His issues today are so beyond accuracy. It is timing and rhythm of which he had none. Of course our atrocious oline and putrid play-calling did not help. Nor did the turnovers, but if all that was fixed I am still worried that he doesnt get it. If and when we get him protection, I am afraid his incompetence with pocket presence and timing will just stick out more. Who knows maybe lightbulbs will go on before next Sunday. Maybe Gruden will look at the tape and go "holy crap that Morris kid can run lets just feed him the ball and throw in some play action?"
whistler 09-07-2014, 08:39 PM No I am not wrong,not to be rude, you have poor reading comprehension. What I said is that the FACT that RG3 hit nothing down the field was not due to play calling it was due to him always going to the check down.
I am sorry you didn't pay any attention to game, but the only long completion were when the WR made yardage after the catch. Nothing he threw down the field had any accuracy.

What game did you see? The sideline pass to Paul, the pass to Paul that he fumbled, the crossing route to Garcon. Were all passes down field. Unless your not counting TE passing in your critique.

a bunch of other pass rushers got closer to the QB than Brian did, and they didn't get paid $700,000. to disappear

Nothing burns me up more is special teams eff up. Yes a couple times a year u should make a big mistake, twice in a game? That's unacceptable
