Hijinx 11-19-2014, 03:51 PM You all know, no matter what happens, short of injury, that RG3 will still start Opening Day 2015, right?
I mean at this point the Skins are married to the guy. I keep seeing posts about bringing in a free agent veteran. Who do you have in mind that will be available? Michael Vick? Mark Sanchez? Christian Ponder? Jake Locker? Want to trade to get Culter? Because I think the Bears might entertain offers. Any of those excite you? Because that is what is available.
Want to trade a bunch of picks away and go for Jameis Winston? (BTW, I say this in jest, I doubt this would ever happen, but if it did, I am done with the Skins. That would be a bridge too far.)
I doubt Snyder will let RG3 ride the pine and put Colt out there. I doubt Colt would even give them a good chance of winning many games next year.
So we will watch sub par QB play the rest of this season and go 0-6 or maybe 1-5 because Dallas sucks in December. Then in the offseason, the coaches and media people will say, "Oh RG3 has got it now, boy. You will really see something from him this year." Then the on the 1st snap of the 1st drive of next season RG3 will take a sack or throw a pick. And we will have been duped again.
over the mountain 11-19-2014, 04:00 PM RG3 has 6 more games to reclaim his starting job. If he doesnt secure it, open QB situation come TC.
Counter-Tre 11-19-2014, 04:00 PM Chris Cooley: RGIII was so bad, I can’t assess the rest of the Redskins’ offense - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2014/11/19/chris-cooley-rgiii-was-so-bad-i-cant-assess-the-rest-of-the-redskins-offense/)
This is a pretty damn good breakdown of how terrible RG3 was on Sunday. The mis-reads are even more egregious in hindsight.I listened to it today and it was very insightful/depressing. Sounds like RGIII is missing a lot of stuff that should be second nature to him by now. I am still rooting for him to succeed but I would be lying if I said I wasn't running low on hope.
punch it in 11-19-2014, 04:14 PM Robert was asked about Jay's remarks to the media after the game. In a presser this morning, Robert responded with "Jay wants me to play better, I want to play better. We're focused on the niners.....next question"
Can't do better than that
If you listen to the entire thing that was his answer to every question. He made Belichick look like a blabbering schoolgirl.
EARTHQUAKE2689 11-19-2014, 04:17 PM How those rape allegations going?
About as good as Big Ben's

They are going to have to exercise his option for 2016 - 18 mill - before the 2015 season begins. So if he is starting opening day next year he will be starting opening day 2016 or we will have the richest back up qb in the history of the game. Im not so sure they extend him at this point, and if they dont there might be some hurt feelings resulting in someone else playing qb next year.
punch it in 11-19-2014, 04:20 PM I wish Robert, as a player, could earn our support for the next 6 games.
Trying is cute, this isn't intramurals.
Thank you for this reply. Its much nicer than mine. Which would have been eff them they deserve to be boo'd!
SmootSmack 11-19-2014, 04:22 PM I don't think he is denying his culpability. He may not understand the extent of it, but I have never gotten the sense he doesn't look to himself for improvement first.
I'm talking more so about the fans
Lotus 11-19-2014, 04:26 PM Maybe we could package RGIII and our #1 pick and thus move up high enough to draft a new franchise QB.
If Robert keeps playing as he has been, we shouldn't have far up to move.
Alternatively, we could re-install his college offense and win a few games until he gets the crap beaten out of him for good.

I thought smoot was implying that sir lk was not blaming Griff, not Griff himself.
