skinsfaninok 09-14-2015, 08:43 AM Yeah we got 3 or 4 sacks but there was a few plays we really needed one. Like i said I'm not upset at all, we are what we are and that's a decent but not good or bad team. 7 wins would be a good year for us. Kirk probably isn't the future QB unless he really shows that he can produce and got a few games without the ints. The one to grimes yesterday was awful but the other int was just a great play.
irish 09-14-2015, 08:55 AM I thin Kirk did his.job today. There are a few things he can do better. Overall he managed the game well.
The offensive line handled the Fins defensive line. They open up holes and pass protected well. If they play like that all year well have a chance to win a lot games.
Morris was excellent. Enough said...
The defensive front looked good for the part. But they didn't get enough pressure. We were good against the run. Not so good against the pass.
Jay Gruden is a below average head coach. I think our first two drives got halted because of his conservative play calling. We had third and short. The Fins were obviously playing the run and moron played right into their hands. He is not the man for this job.
Our secondary sucks. They stop anybody. They catch easy interceptions. They can't tackle to save.their lives.
Andre Roberts is 100% pure garbage. After watching him today I have to ask myself why is he on the team? What does he contributed? How many passes does he have to drop before we drop him?
I think JG has to play it conservative with his unproven QB. I think things will open up as the season moves on.
KI Skins Fan 09-14-2015, 08:56 AM What we saw yesterday was Step 1 in the process of team building. Scot started with the lines, as he should, and they played well. Secondly, there were a number of our 2015 draft picks who played and all they did OK, as far as I could tell.
I said I would be satisfied as long as we played hard and progressed as a team. We did those things yesterday and, so far, I'm satisfied.
There is no doubt that we have a long way to go in some areas and it's going to take two more FA classes, two more draft classes, and a couple other moves of opportunity to become as competitive as we'd all like to be.
Keeping Scot is absolutely critical to our future success. I also want to keep Jay Gruden. He is competent, IMO, and I do not want the offensive players to have to learn another system. I want this system to become automatic to them so we can gain the advantage of having the utmost efficiency in executing our plays.
rocnrik 09-14-2015, 08:59 AM The Ravens have no WR'S ..trade Roberts to them for anything!

CRedskinsRule 09-14-2015, 09:35 AM down: fans harping on Gruden. ESPN radio right now is doing grades only of Gruden and one fan called in bashing Gruden for not challenging the 2nd Int. Hello, it's an automatic review, AND would have been a 15yd penalty if he had challenged it. Others are talking about how he has his guy at QB now. Again, yes he has the guy he chose out of the 3 that he had when he got here, but let's not confuse that with being the same as "his" guy.
I have plenty of gripes with Gruden, and so far he's average at best, but the radio show just sounds like fans piling on for the sake of finding fault. It doesn't help that t he radio show specifically asked for grading of Gruden, knowing it would get the most vitriolic reaction.
CRedskinsRule 09-14-2015, 09:44 AM Apparently the ground crew gets a D also

I didn't see progression. I saw the same team we've been witnessing for years: A team that has the talent and ability to win games, but not the fortitude, preparation, or discipline that's required.
I'm guessing I'm in the minority. I've seen posts on this very thread that have said this team is a 6 win team, this team is no better than an 8 win team, and that this team could win 7 games. I'm on a completely different planet with this team. They'll win between 2-4 games because they're a 2-4 win team. The difference between winning three games versus eight games in this league is not about talent. It's about all the things that the culture of this team eschews. A headline in the post today read "Redskins Continue to Make an Art Form of Almost." That's what they do; that's what they've been doing for years, and it's what they did yesterday.
8 win teams don't routinely surrender special teams touchdowns, they don't routinely commit turnovers on critical drives, they don't commit 6 penalties in a string of 8 plays. Yesterday, the Skins did everything they always do. No progression there, in my opinion.

Nacho has a fractured and dislocated wrist, I say a minimum of 4 games, possibly more. He's injury prone.
