The article really DID clear a lot of things up for me. That's what separates him from TO who is an asshole on AND off the field.
I forget where it is, but it's a good read.
Yes matty. Gibbs never lied.
remember him denying the WP article on Coles? Part of the business.
I'm just saying, who's word are you more likely to believe?

Who cares if he's an ass hole or not the funny thing is that he said he would make the skins pay for not picking him and he has a total of five recptions and will miss this year.

Matty - It's obvious I trust Gibbs over him, but I have a feeling there's some truth in his statements. It's not really that unusual for a team to say yeah, we'll take you -- then change their mind.
FRPLG - if you dislike my comments that much the site has a neat feature where you can ignore someone's posts. I suggest giving it a try.
I don't see how I crucified the skins here. Because I said a guy could have a valid reason to be upset doesn't mean I'm pinning down the skins at all.
Yes, I'm a huge Cowboys fan. I just enjoy going to Redskins training camp, games, watch on TV religiously, and spend half my free time here trying to get real news. Insult my views all you like, but if you want to insult me loyalty then we have a problem.
You're right, I give them a hard time, people can't understand that. I feel changes should be made, I outline what they think they are. Does that not make me a fan? Does it not make everyone on the board screaming about Spurriers schemes not a fan? Look at yourself and ask if you'd be saying the same thing if this was just an ordinary coach taking over. Now before the OMG DASEAL HATES GIBBS AND HIS PAST MEANS NOTHING type posts come up, that's not what I'm saying. However, there should be some consistancy between our criticism of players/coaches that go beyond giving Redskins a free pass for something we'd rip someone else for.
Is Winslow an asshole? Abosolutely. Was he in the right? No. Will we ever know exactly what was said, no. However, IF what Winslow says is true I can understand him being upset.

I think Daseal's post is pretty fair so let's not jump all over him. I can agree with it.
I say let's just jump all over him anyway

Well think about for a second though. Have you ever had to deal with a difficult situation where you feel it is in the best interest if you don't make it front page news? You might say, "everything's great" when maybe their not, but you do that in order to buy yourself time to defuse the situation. Now, I'm not saying this is exactly what happened in the Coles situation, but I don't think it was a situation where the team, namely Coach Gibbs, changed his mind. More than likely, it probably was a situation where he remained optimisitic until the point where he realized his optimism was in vain.

Well, I think they were working on getting everything worked out (Coles said that before that broke he had a very productive meeting with Gibbs and was optomistic.) Then after the Danny thing and the post breaking the news everything broke down.
Not saying I blame him, it's part of the game and every coach plays it. I think it's silly to take everything a coach says as fact. They lie for a living to hide their true intentions. That's not bad, it's how you win. Keeping the opponent confused!

VTskin - please show me where I say Winslow should have been drafted over Taylor.
